Shame about Journey to Foundation; I've seen several sources say that's fine but not great.

Also, literally every video I see of Arizona Sunshine 2 puts me off. I find their trailers very abrasive.

I never got into the first game much, it just felt like there wasn't a ton to it

It was a little bland but for the time it was above the standard of most games.
Great fun in Co-op and not to long

Some PC footage of the upcoming sequel

There are a few different youtubers showing the same footage as this appears to be curated gameplay from the developers.

Okay, Blobcat and I just got finished on our first proper session on Dungeons of Eternity and it's AMAZING.

So, weird thing. Years ago, I remember seeing a segment on one of the UK TV tech or games shows; was probably Bad Influence. In that show, they showed a VR installation where players could go and play out D&D-style dungeon crawls as a group. I remember this partially because there's a great 1hr YouTube documentary about Virtuality that I watched recently which summarised this, and it features clips from it.

I have waited literally decades to have a VR experience in my own home that matches up to how I imagined that played (because obviously being Virtuality it probably played like crap; I tried a few others and they were terrible outside of a theme park attraction).

This is that. Finally. And it's wonderful.

Sadly, seems like The Foglands is naff

That's a shame for such a big multi-platform VR release. . You never know though they may fix the issues with Foglands it feels like it was rushed for Halloween and it wasnt ready. What im seeing on reddit is complaints about bad controls with movement being a real issue and snap turns being wonky.

it seems quite a lot of stuff is not hitting the mark recently Hubris, Journey to foundation being two other big Mulitplatform Vr releases that have took a swing and a miss this month. if i didnt have such a back log of stuff to play i might be a bit peeved off.

There does seem to have been a run of them, with plenty still coming. I can only assume they felt pressure to release within the Quest 3 launch window and some have jumped the gun

There's a range of things happenning. In some cases it's about messaging. I'm hearing from people that Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord is getting mixed reviews, not because it's bad, but because of not meeting expectations. People mistakenly wanted something a bit more like the old Xbox 360 Ghostbusters game, which leaned heavily into being a story-driven FPS that was trying to be the never-made Ghostbusters 3, when in reality the VR game is more of a Dungeon-Crawler; more Left4Dead than Half-Life. What's weird is that this is what the game was always supposed to be, so I'm not sure how that confusion arose.

Also unfortunate it's come out in the same month as Dungeons of Eternity which seems to be doing the same basic thing, but better.

Foglands looks like absolute ass, boring gun play, terrible AI, terrible graphics, and bugs galore i wont be watching to see if they fix this as it really doesn't look like even if they fixed its bugs and control issues that theirs a decent game underneath.

I've read a lot of positive stuff on DoE, things seem slightly muddier when it comes to strictly solo play so I've held off as I've got zero interest in co-oping in gaming these days

I kinda switched off when I heard it was a Roguelite FPS.

It's one of those things like arena-based wave-shooter, or anything with procedural levels, where VR already has tons of them. I know I just bought Dungeons of Eternity but that was because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Arguably VR needs more God of War, with hand-crafted scenarios and levels. Hopefully Asgard's Wrath II is going to do this.

It's very good, and I enjoy it solo. But it's fair to say that it's a co-op game at heart.

Two very decent VR games by the look of it then, I'm not sure i would replay Power wash simulator again but its the perfect game for VR and i bet it would be a more natural experience, one that would probably get tiring after a bit.
