You guys do know that you can set up the PS3 to turn on from standby over the Internet right? I have done it. I was too paranoid about being certain it shut down when I was finished so I never did it on a long holiday.

It's not going to be a fun experience, you could easily be looking at having 200ms of input lag

Which I guess is ok for turn based stuff or nothing with a QTE

If both yourself, and the hotel have 10000000MB connections, plus you have a WoL router you'll likely be fine.
