GTA 5. Simply excellent - a good story with excellent characters, exciting and varied missions, and a believable world.
I love that it's a narrative experience, but also a giant playground. The world is stunning and filled with toys, which have already provided me with masses of fun messing about with my mates, or just playing alone and making up my own missions.
I also love its humour. The game made me laugh out loud on so many occasions, thanks to great writing (exceptional, really, for a videogame - Trevor gets all the best lines) and the trademark satire embedded in absolutely everything.
My runner up is SMG 2. Sublime gameplay and level design, beautiful graphics.
