Killzone Shadow Fall (Story Trailer) PS4

I couldn't find a specific thread for killzone in the next gen hype forum.

So get ready to have your eyes fall out of your head.

Trailer actually got my hyped and I will admit I've never been a massive Killzone fan.

What I've seen earlier impressed me more, while some parts of this trailer (the faces) felt a little ... PS3ish. However, I have this preordered, basically because that was the only PS4-bundle VG+ offered :P

      But this gif... *drool*

Standard Killzone set pieces, but with slightly better graphics. Didn't you play 2 and 3? It doesn't actually look a great deal better than the PS3 games.

Of course it looks amazing. If it didn't there would be no point.

Killzone titles are known to push the hardware, but this doesn't seem like it is at all. Killzone 5 will undoubtedly look amazing, but this just looks like PS3.5 to me.

Without watching it on a 1080p tv it's hard to comment on the visuals. KZ2 & 3 both looked incredible.

I think Killzone was the wrong choice for a launch game personally. Resistance perhaps as with PS3, but Killzone is for when devs have the hardware tamed. In six months this will be easily outshone, whereas the PS3 titles are still not.

                  Take a look at this:

Killzone will not be outshone anytime soon. This looks amazing.

One of the major areas that I thought was brilliant with KZ:M was the level design and way you could play differently and take different paths. Super glad to hear that this is a core part of KZ4

Will be fun on Remote play too!

A new video from IGN on the game, they say it plays more like the first Crysis with the more open environments and the AI makes it quite tough to play.

                        IGN - Killzone: Shadowfall

A new 25 minute gameplay video from TGS, it shows the same level as before but the person playing it takes completely different routes through the level and so there are brand new locations that haven't been shown before.

Really starting to look forward to this now.

To be honest, I am hugely impressed about what I have heard from the devs about this. Gameplay seems to have shot to the forefront over the spectacular but shallow and dull CoD single player games. Maybe they are realising we like a bit of damn substance.

A 16 minute discussion on GameTrailers about the game, some quick glimpses of completely new areas again. They seem really positive about the game which seems to be what most sites are saying at the moment.

From Eurogamer article. Finally a developer is eliminating the endless introduction logos we have to endure these days, great news!

Whether played from hard disc or Blu-ray, van der Leeuw is particularly proud of how fast and seamlessly the game loads; it's been a pet project for the tech director, who hates how slow modern games have become to operate. Guerrilla has completely eliminated in-game load times after an initial 30 seconds, and removed all logos and splash screens from the game's start-up routine. It may take a while to download Killzone Shadow Fall, but once you have it, the game comes to you very quickly indeed.

"To me, that's still something that fills my heart with joy when I see it. You insert the disc and go straight to menu," he says. "People here worked very hard... We had to ask legal and Dolby, the epilepsy warning stuff, the logos from Havok - we had to negotiate with them that we could put it in the credits and not the title screen... All the rules are built around the previous generation. I'm really happy that we're one of the first ones in, and I hope it's an example that people are going to follow."
