They have also added 4 new courses as main DLC, takes totals course to 8.
If you already own Powerstar Golf the dlc is free.
Least people can give it a try for free now it's a fantastic arcade golf game.
?4.79 a course now in the uk, if you want the four courses it would costs ?21.56!!! **** that. Add in the new dlc courses that costs an additional ?4.79 and we have a ?26 indie game that also charges you to buy tshirts and clubs, what are they smoking do they want people to forget it used to cost ?15.99

Presumably they've done this because people have stopped buying it or it didn't sell very well.

I think it needs to be free to play, it's much better when people on your friends list have played it to

Fair enough try and boost sales but how about they cut the price like strider and do a bit of promotion? chopping the game up and charging more is hardly customer friendly. I'm sick of dev's like Zoe Mode thinking this is the way to treat its customers with no thought about bad publicity or how these decisions affect customer perception of them.

It's the future and it's what the people spending the bulk of the money actually prefer.
Which as somebody who doesn't want to see all their games end up that way is hard to swallow, but that is the truth.
There is a huge trend in gaming for things to be super cheap, whether that is free or on sale.

Just look at how people freak out about a game that Isn't made One of the big boys that is ?15, regardless of the metrics that critics use to validate a game's quality.
People seem to think games should be either full price or next to nothing.
In order to support the games being made , the people making them have to adjust their business models to suit consumers.

I miss the simple days when an arcade game used to cost between 800/1200 points and retail games cost ?39.99, and there where no hidden charges except maybe a bit of pointless horse Armour.

              I don't understand gamers.

They have all come out in force to whine the game has gone f2p saying I ain't spending ?/$'s on single components, what's this ****?
These same people clearly didn't care enough to buy the game when it came out as a full game, why is it bothering them that the game has been broken up into pieces? What's the worst these people can do? It seems go on the internet and complain they STILL won't be buying it, well done.

Seriously at least there will be some new people that will give it a download, maybe enjoy playing it enough to put some money towards some new courses. It's just a glorified full game demo if you ask me.

Also you never had to buy clubs or shirts with real money, it's a golf game, it had rewards for doing specific things in game, winning tournament, beat opponents, under par etc. which in turn rewarded you with new shirts/clubs and characters.

if it had a demo in the first place maybe more would of brought it

                  ?4.79 x 4 = ?19.16 not ?21.56.

According to eurogamer you can still buy the lot for ?15.99. Personally I was going to buy this, but some mixed reviews put me off. So a chance to have a go before spending any money is ok in my book.

Tis quite a nice little arcadey golf game, my experience of these games is limited to Super Monkey Ball and some Tiger woods years ago, but I felt this played pretty well. Nice for a quick blast in and out of.

Yeah, that is exactly what they've done, there is now a demo (the free bit) optional courses you can buy in $6 packs or just buy the game all as normal.

Some good and long needed features in the June update (real names on the friend list at long last). Looks like the update for June is being pushed out already to those in the preview program - 2GB update (there about) downloading at the moment on my unit.

Edit - hmm, maybe not, perhaps there was a previous update I hadn't downloaded before today.

Regarding external storage .. What I was going to do was get some SSD action going on for faster loading.

However the bare minimum drive size is 256GB, which rules out a lot of 240GB SSD's. Hmm .. May have a look at getting (another) 480GB SSD. Is it worth ?150 for (hopefully) slighty faster loading though? Answers on a postcard to the usual address.

If the boot up time and app loading of my laptop after replacing it with a SanDisk Extreme SSD compared to my old HDD is anything to go by I'd say yes.
