The size of that score indicates they must have played a lot absolute garbage to get the points as there are not that many great games to do it on those alone. Spending hours playing broken buggy games/shovelware for gamerscore is not my idea of time well spent.

All it proves is that you are enough of a sucker to buy crap games in order to earn points that can't actually be redeemed for anything. If I had a million gamerpoints I would be quite embarrassed and never tell anyone, ever. Who would ever be impressed by such a questionable 'achievement'?

I honestly can't think of a worse way of spending an evening than playing Fish Tale The Game in order to earn a few worthless digi-points. I even see the odd person on here saying they've been playing something crap to 'cheev whore' and it just boggles my mind.

My satisfaction with the Xbox changes every day. When it works, it's great.

But day before yesterday, I couldn't sign into Xbox Live, so couldn't watch Netflix.
No problem, I thought. I'll just stream a film from the PC to the Xbox via DLNA on "Xbox Video" app.
DENIED!! It's not possible to use that app at all if you are not logged into Xbox Live.

Today at lunch: "Right, quick game of Battlefield"
DENIED!! Another 1.5GB update
Ok, no problem, I'll play Forza5.
DENIED!! 0.5GB update.

Ok, I'll play on the DS then. This is getting ridiculous.

just compared games with this million points guy, if you go on xbox and sign in you can see some of the stuff hes been playing.

hes played 1580 Games, there not all xbox 360 games though some of them are windows phone games, and pc games, he has a lot of games on 100pts so he has potential to get a lot higher.

you two could get a million gamer points but you have to buy and play stuff like Disney Fairies hidden treasure, Disney Little Mermaid, Microsoft Mahjong, Fabel 3 twice once on the pc and once on the xbox, Tron twice once on the pc and once on the xbox, the smurfs 2, Power rangers and pretty much all the terrible shovel-ware ever created, its like a exercise in gaming masochism.

If what you type gets changed to **** then the swear filter has worked and I'm happy. The best plan is just not to swear. I know most readers are adult, but we do have a few younger demographic hits. Putting letters back in to work around the filter is not acceptable. Not picking on Eddie. Other people get the same treatment.

This post did make me laugh Charles, sorry, not that the PS3 and PS4 are much better at times. Bring back the Spectrum and cassette's.

Re the million gamer point bloke, how much money must he have spent buying/renting all those games too, as someone posted on Eurogamer, hope Sony send him a PS4 for his efforts.

Xbox, PS3, PS4, PC. All just as bad. All 3 PC games I wanted to play the other day had started to update themselves and refused to play until the update was done. With a 3.5mbps line I didn't play anything. PSN was down last night too so it was good old disc-based Tomb Raider for me. Modern gaming sucks.

And yes, I wasn't dissing on the Xbox per se. I'm sure I'd have similar frustrations on other platforms. If you have Yakumo's broadband you'd be ok. But people like us on copper ADSL are losers.

I've gone for the same deal, very good price. Hopefully DPD will deliver nice and early I wonder how difficult it will be downloading Titanfall tomorrow?
