No DLNA puts the ball back in Microsoft's court for me. I sometimes wonder what the hell is going through the minds of these companies.

I expect many of these features were left out to cut down on testing and programming in order to get the system out on a timely manner so its not behind xbox again. They will likely be quickly patched in like blueray and dvds quickly enough, especially if people moan about it.

It was until companies like Microsoft and Sony decided they were pushing media hubs rather than just games consoles. Nobody had these expectations until they created them and pushed hard for them.

God you all sound like me, whinging whining. Waaa the PS4 looks amazing but i can't listen to crap sounds like music played in a metal tin, and play it through my headphones so everybody can hear it while playing BF3, i'd say thank god, no more crap music to listen to.

It is interesting that some customers genuinely do like to use their console as a media hub. Fair play to them, but if media is your thang, then XB1 is the best looking contender.

As I see it, the XB1 has a weaker GPU, (but faster CPU), slower memory, is alegedly harder to develop for, slower RAM, more resources need for kinect and OS (10% GPU!!) and launch titles look better on PS4.

BUT (and it's a big But) You get fantastic media capabilities, some awesome 1st party support, the best designed controller on the planet, the most robust online cloud provider on the planet and a company that will buy exclusive rights to the best games.

I think that for many of the members here, those benefits absolutly outweigh small graphical advantages on PS4. I honest to god believe that NTSC-uk is one of the places that raw gameplay and enjoyment is way higher than Pixels and AA for most members.

So.... XB1 is a great choice for media streaming peeps, and will have a boatload of good game too!.

The media stuff doesn't mean anything to me.

If I want to watch something on Netflix then the PS4 can do that but if I want to watch softsubbed anime mkv files I'll plug my laptop into my TV via HDMI.

As for custom soundtracks; never used it on Xbox or 360 so I don't intend to start now.
