The actual game install updates are taking hours even when you plug in a disc game.

I read on one of the gaming websites that Ryse takes 1hr 15 mins to fully install to the hardrive

This. WTF is this all about. 10mins in and I'm 12%. No option to start playing either.

Once you start a disk install web downloads stop.

Seems the system is only fast once you have things installed.

we've been spoilt i remember the days of loading games off tapes it would take hours and you would have to do it everytime you wanted to play a game and the noise was awful, it was like r2d2 having a ****

ShopTo seem incapable to deliver stuff on release lately. 9/10 of my last games have arrived after release. Also, no Dead Rising 3 either for today from them. Anyone have another retailer they recommend with decent prices (and preferably day early delivery)? Tempted to give GAME another shot.

Ditto. Started mine a couple of hours ago and it's on 9%. But I can't leave it on during the day because no one can phone my mobile (I use a suresignal to send my mobile calls via the web - no signal in my house) - one failed robot call so far. The router is normally good at priortising the packets on the suresignal, but the xboxone seems to be hogging everything.

Jesus, so on that ratio, leave it on overnight Charles and you should be able to play around midday tomorrow, once it installs.
Can only see the servers getting hammered more when people get in this evening.
