I absolutely love my WiiU, there's a few brill games to get on it too. If you're able to easily get an XBO or PS4 when you decide you want one then go for it with the WiiU. If it's likely to be your sole console for the long haul I'd advise holding off. It's a brilliant second system but it simply doesn't have the consistant support to be your main system unless the games on it speak loudly to you.

It's very easy atm for pot shots to be taken at the XBO and PS4 but the fact is that not too far into next year they will be getting the vast majority of all games and WiiU won't. If you have the system you'll potentially have the joys of playing games like Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong Country 5, Smash Bros 4, Yoshi's Yarn etc as they come out however.

Like I said, if getting another system later isn't a problem for you then you'll have loads of fun with the WiiU, if it's likely to be your sole console though I'd think carefully on whether it's library appeals enough to you as it'll miss out on far more than it recieves.

He only said for the time being, and for the time being the Wii U has the better selection of games.

Ctn, yeah getting another console in a few months isn't a problem. As you say I would use it as a second console (not knocking it in any way) and pick up probably the xbox in a few months.
I think I was more worried about the control system than anything else, but if most games are played on the pad then I'll be happy

The best games, in my opinion are:

          The Wonderful 101 (by far)
          Super Mario 3D World
          Pikmin 3
          Wind Waker HD
          NSMBU
          ZombiU
          NintendoLand (multi-player)

I've not played Crack Hunter 3 or Lego Undercover (I generally dislike Lego games). I might try Rayman one day.

A Wii U is worth buying for Monster Hunter ALONE.
            Kept you waiting, huh?

I'll be on MH as my bro is back on it these days.

              ^That's your reason right there.

Isn't there that karaoke game for the Wii U where you can pay by hour/day/month and stream songs?

Yep it's on the eShop not on disc, sure you get a free trial (24 hours?) when you download it too.

That I can agree with having put over 50 hours into it.

                          Others to look out for

Tank! Tank! Tank! (Best multiplayer by far)
                          Pikmin 3
Deus EX: HR - Director's Cut (If you've not played it before.)
                          Zombi U
                          Rayman Legends
                          Super Mario 3D World

                          Don't bother with:

Nintendo Land (Rubbish collection of pretty bad mini games, only the Metroid, Zelda and Ninja game are worth playing.)
New Super Mario Bros U (Very average mario game bit of a insult to the classic NES series.)

Download wise pick up both Toki Tori games which are great puzzle titles.

Yes. It's easily one of the best local multiplayer games since the days of the N64.

NSMBU is excellent as well. Some of the later levels are absolutely fiendish. The challenges are pretty hardcore as well, requiring pixel-perfect runs.

Don't forget TW101,my game of the decade so far.
