I love the theme of the Galaxy stage, love they went there. Unless there's more too it though the layout is very plain. Still a little hopeful though even if the new Smash Bros is mostly vibing a little bit meh for me

Even if you used the Pro Controller (as I did - I hate using the Gamepad as a primary controller), you still use the Gamepad for commanding the other two leaders and their units.
I don't really hate the controller it's just so big and wide that after using teh unit for a white it starts to hurt more than a normal pad would . And like whats been said before , anyone with a Smart Mobile or iOS device and apps like Smartglass now have pretty much any feature the Wii U Gamepad can offer . And if Pkimin 3 did necessitate that you could only use the gamepad , I really doubt Nintendo would offer 2 control options as well .
I guess as a Star Fox fan I've been hurt too many times before
I think that's more to do with most of Star Fox games being farmed out . With this one being made In-House I have high hopes for a true genuine Star Fox game

Another great Miiverse reveal by Sakurai today, things like this are why I'm so excited for the new Smash Bros.

It's Sheriff! (Nintendo's first title featuring artwork by Miyamoto.)

        Such fanservice.

StarFox looks great but as mentioned already, I hope they don't demand the player holding the gamepad up. I couldn't stand it, as I can't stand holding the Wii controller for Wii games.

You'd think that Nintendo would be smart enough to make sure that StarFox has multiple control options, but they're in a situation where the gaming public at large is still waiting to see something "revolutionary" from the Gamepad - something that Nintendo originally promised. Therefore I wouldn't be surprised (or happy) to see the vast majority of StarFox being entirely dependent on the Gamepad.

Hope I'm wrong about the control options. Or maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised with what Nintendo can come up with. Who knows?

All this wiiu talk made me start looking at the console again and i finally cracked. Some cracking exclusives out for it now plus some multi formats i missed out on like mass effect 3, deus ex and black flack that are nice and cheap.

Can't believe I still don't have 3d land. So many games to play at the moment though, yet for some reason I;ve started playing LTTP again, which looks very nice on the gamepad screen, less so on a 63" plasma.

                        LOL, Speedy. Brilliant.

Star Fox will be using the gamepad for precision aiming (it could use it for more things of course). It means that you see the Arwing on the TV just like in the old games and the cockpit view on the pad with crosshairs. You can play the game on the TV, but you can also aim your firing more precisely from the pad screen without the need to move your Arwing like in the old games. To me, that sounds like a brilliant way to use the pad.

Why are they awful? Are they more awful than on PS3 for example?

It's actually Super Mario 3D World, Land was on the 3DS.

There's a serious amount of quality gaming time there!

Can't comment on PS3, and only played on PC other than that so not comparable but...

TL;DR Impossible to aim nomatter how much I juggled with the stick sensitivity settings. Not everyone agrees but I think at least one other member on here had the same issue. Shame as it looks pretty good on WiiU and use of the pad features was quite nice.

It's also the Director's Cut version which should be better than the original console release.

Excellent start FBH! Chuck in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, New Super Mario Bros. U + Luigi U plus Bayonetta 2 and Super Smash Bros. preorders and you've got my entire collection.

I have been meaning to pick up DKC: Tropical Freeze but the lack of a bargain price/apparent blandness of it has been holding me back. I also had The Wonderful 101 but gave it away to someone I wanted to experience it, intending to claim it as my free game on the MK8 promotion but I never bothered to register for my code in the end , That pretty much covers the essentials actually, none of the multi-platforms are worth a look really other than Rayman Legends which I'd expect most here to have played elsewhere anyway and then there's NES Remix, Pushmo and the wonderful Virtual Console...
