Excitement. I LOVE Mario Kart (yes yes even all the new ones) and that looks incredible. I can't wait to play it. The difference to Wii (which received minimum 500+ hours local 4P from me) is just mindblowing.

        It looks amazing in motion!

        I might need a Wii U then.

          Me wants this too.

              Just looks utterly sublime!

The stadium full of flashes on one of the courses looks amazing!

Mario's moustache wiggles as he drives too.

?219.99 Premium bundle with Pro Controller & MK8 would do really well, I think.

Some interesting chat about item customisation - nothing hard & fast. but this quote should please some people -

"I think we're going to be able to answer that feeling of, 'I don't want to race with items.' Well, OK, then no items. Or, 'I only want to have bananas.' Well, OK. I think we're going to be able to provide a system to answer that desire this time around."

There was a degree of item customisation in Wii. You could choose to have a focus on defensive, offensive, or mixed. Or you could switch them off entirely. So they have probably expanded that system a bit.

Megaton! I'm in I think. No longer do I need to debate the blue shell. I can just make it not an option. If this is true, and I can play online and choose custom races then that's awesome.

That does look fantastic, totally in two minds about keeping or selling my Wii U purely for this game.

I didn't know this! Played it a fair bit with the family, but didn't bother looking at options.

                          The IGN footage looks great.

When any of you lot do get a WiiU for this make sure you try out some of the dozen or so other must-haves.

If there were a dozen must haves* mate then I'd have a WiiU already :-)
I'd pick up ZombiU because I liked that.

*your must-haves and my must-haves likely don't have much crossover!

A dozen?! I thought there was Pikmin 3, Mario 3D World, and that other one whose name I forget but I'm sure someone here remembers ...

Future line-up does look well tasty, though: Kart, Bayonetta, Smash Bros, X.
