It's a matter of taste which has the better games. The Wii can play all CG games and quite a few of the Cube games were ported to the Wii with motion controls, so if we take that into account then Wii is clearly the superior console because it has a much larger number of games. If we look at just the exclusives then it's all subjective really.

Totally slipped my mind the Wii plays Cube games. Well i guess with that in mind i'd rather a Wii under my Telly than a Cube seeing as it plays all the Cube Games and you can use the Cube pad. It is as you mentioned definitely subjective though which has the better selection but personally i prefer the Gamecubes.

The Wii has so many great games. That's only a few.

By the way we are comparing each consoles exclusive games. You have named ports of gamecube games.

Yeah true but it's a different generation to the Wii so i think it's allowed. I totally forgot about the underrated Billy Hatcher & The Giant Egg. Havn't played PN03 yet but i want to

PN03 is rubbish. Ports count because they are Wii games regardless. F-Zero is better on previous formats.

I don't hate the Cube, some great games but it was easily their worst software lineup.

Most of what was good on wii in terms of first party, originated on the gamecube...metroid trilogy cannot be credited to wii as only the 3rd was made specifically for that machine(i i suspect people didn't buy it for prime 3), Twilight Princess was a cube game first, Resi 4 was...etc. Take away the games that originated on the cube, and you have Mario galaxy and erm...wii sports.

Had some good 3rd party stuff, but on the flip side the annoying controls meant some people wont have even bothered with what the wii had to offer...evidenced by its 3rd party sales nightmare.

The best games on cube for me were better than the best games on wii...i loved the galaxy games, just not as much as i loved Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX, and Zelda WW.

I also despised having to run SD wii games in the age of HDTV...it most certainly took something away from my pleasure, where as the cube days were the good old days of pin sharp RGB via CRT...something which cannot be downplayed.

GC was the last proper gamers console nintendo made, before trying to crack the mainstream.

Nothing touches the brilliance of F-Zero GX.

Which originated on gamecube...and then ported over to wii for launch thanks to delays, and the similarity of the hardware.

Its still a cube port no matter.

F-Zero is better on previous formats.

Wrong i.m.o F-Zero GX is by far the best F-Zero game ever and improved upon everything that X & SNES F-Zero did. Better graphics, tracks, music, handling, challenge and replay value. It's one of the most under apreciated games of the last 15 years. If i found out Nintendo were doing a HD re release on Wii U like Windwaker with online play i'd go out and buy a Wii U tomorrow. Even putting that game aside, as PaTaito said i would much prefer Gamecubes best games to the Wii's best games.
