Do you mean Virtual Console games bought on the Wii? In Wii mode you can't unfortunately but it does display on the tablet screen (if that makes sense) after a previous update.

I don't think that Nintendo will ever implement this to be honest. If they did, why would you pay the fee to upgrade your older Wii VC games when they become available in the Wii U store?

But if you mean Vitrual Console games bought on the Wii U store then yes you can play them on the tablet controller.

Other sites are saying that all Mario Kart 8's registered before July 31st will qualify for the free game offer so standard version is fine too. I'll likely use it to get back Zelda out of the list

Given that the Limited Edition is ?60 (for a blue plastic shell) I'd argue that these aren't really free games. They're games for ?20 /humbug.

No. That offer is wank. They should force people to download and play The Wonderful 101 instead, and if they don't clock 120hrs on it before July 31st the pad blows up in their faces.

On Nintendo's site it doesn't say anything about MK8 having to be the limited edition - just says to register the game - https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Campaigns...on-879238.html

@dataDave - I only have 2 games and only one can be played on the pad alone lol! Thought it best to check. Was gonna grab Wind Waker in that offer but I'm not paying ?60 for Mario Kart.

Thats not strictly true ... There are quite a few games that are TV only... Lego and ZombieU being two games I can think of.
