To be honest GBA games look horrible on the 3DS. They have a nasty blurry filter on them plus for some reason the screen is a lot darker when running GBA games they really could do with fixing.

No they haven't,they are simply running incorrect resolution. Hold start and select when booting a GBA game and they look excellent. Ideal on a XL unit because it displays the image perfectly and is the same size a GBA screen roughly.

Same deal with DS games to my eyes really.

When you force the resolution to the DS though the touch screen positioning is off so you can't really win.

It's the reason I bought a DSi again.

It's spelled "Purgatorio" in the game, it's Italian (Dante's Inferno). Besides, come on, cheesy voice acting goes hand in hand with games like Bayonetta because the game itself is cheesy as Hell (pun intended).

Nitpick: Purgatorio (Purgatory) is the second book of Dante's Divine Comedy, and it's not part of Inferno.

Anyway... I'm definitely picking up a Wii U this Spring, can't wait to hit the new tracks with Mario Kart again! DLC track packs this time, Nintendo please!

GBA support is also fantastic news, can't wait to play Metroid Fusion as I've never played it.

I'm legit not interested in anything on the console. The idea of buying batteries for a ****ing giant controller that runs out of power in ten seconds to play games I could be playing on a 3DS does not draw me in.

Did not know this.

I looked it up and they have had to release an extended life battery as the standard one is still too **** though.

I just don't want a giant screen on my controller when playing console. It's pointless. I didn't hook up my console to a giant tv to play parts of it on a tiny screen - if that was my goal I'd play my psp or mobile.

The standard battery is fine, 3-4 hours typically, and if you want to play longer you just stick the power cord in the top. Never been a problem for me. And my kids love the off-screen play on the controller - they can carry on playing while someone else is on the Wii or watching TV. It's not my thing personally, but it does have its uses.

Yeah, not to mention when it runs out you just play while it's charging, just like with the PS3 or 360 play and charge kits that everyone uses. It enables asynch co-operative and competitive multiplay and the screen isn't tiny anyway.

When people call it junk I can't help but wonder what they see in the lineups on the PS4 or XB1.
