It's frustrating, as you often see bloggers and pundits say things like "Skies of Arcadia fans, your prayers have been answered!" and then post all about an indie game with a few similarities. Given, the game looks good, but that sort of thing never "answers my prayers"; I want a proper sequel, even though I'm aware I won't get one because the niche is too small and the potential budget too huge.

I think the golden era of dreamcast gaming has long gone, more than that the dynamics of the gaming industry has changed so much that we will never see games like devs out put during that era. The risk is too high. That's why I think E3 has become a shadow of its former self. No one will risk anything truly original, it's no longer economically viable. At least in the triple A sense. Thank goodness for the Indy scene, ironically really emerging strongly this gen due to Sonys and MS's support for the scene for their home consoles.Last edited by darkangel; 07-05-2014, 17:16.
