Difficult to tell at the moment ... To me NMS just looks like an exploration sandbox at the moment, which is more concerntrated on planets than anything else. ED is about the whole galaxy (400 billion star systems) with all the gameplay from the original Elite games.

Eventually Elite will be doing planets but not there yet ...

    NMS looks pretty sweet though

Lovin' Octopuzzy, Lebowski! I might knock up some boxart at lunch.

I don't think Konami have a live stream, YYG. You could look at some cardboard boxes and pretend its an Metal Gear Solid preview?

        No Man's Sky looks amazing.

Probably my highlight of the show to be honest, I just hopw they can someone scrape a game out of that wonderful vibe

Elite just sounds like you'd be doing this loads.

I prefer the sound of Lifeless Planet from the Microsoft conference:

I'm all over Mirror's Edge 2. It looks exactly the same as the last one = brilliant I'm easily pleased.

Pretty much but then that was always Elite ... Space is big.

BTW this is what hyperspace currently looks like in ED .. (its a placeholder but pretty nice)

No Man's Sky has a thread on here already where we can all gush!

Friendly Import video game discussion forum, informative reviews, NTSC (Japan / US) and PAL - BordersDown (previously known as NTSC-uk)

Lifeless Planet looks fantastic. Looks like the plot has been lifted from Another Earth though.

Now that I've watched all that, will there be a fast-travel option?

Lifeless planet is out on pc and can be picked up via steam now, i have a 2014 i5 and a pretty basic graphics card and it runs pretty well on my laptop, posted about it in the indie thread, its not bad few annoying platform sections but i imagine these will be ironed out for the xbox one release, actually its out of beta now i will have to give it another go to see if they have fixed it.

PREMIER EDITION - While seeking life on a distant planet, an astronaut discovers an abandoned Russian town. He suspects his mission is a hoax until a mysterious young woman saves him from a strange and deadly phenomenon...

For local system travel? There is indeed .. Its called 'Super Cruise' think of it as a replacement for the accelerated time option in Frontier. As the game is multiplayer time cant be altered .. It will allow you to zip around the local system at will.

So from the 3 console Vendors here's what I liked:

                          Multi-platform:
                          Destiny

                          Xbox:
                          Crackdown! Looked superb

                          PlayStation:
                          Uncharted 4
                          Bloodborne
                          No Man's Sky
                          LBP

                          Nintendo:
                          Zelda
                          That splatter game
                          The Kirby game
                          Bayonetta 2
Xenoblade (even if it's just and HD remake?)

                          Comment

Xenoblade is not a HD remake.

Overall a solid E3 so far with a decent amount of varied content. It all feels rather formulaic and expected with next gen again offering little advancement with that extra power, it's all visuals. However Uncharted 4, Forza Horizon 2, Bloodborne and Destiny all look good games.

No Man's Sky and Splatoon look the most interesting concept wise. Both probably not my things but seem pretty fresh games. Might even get Splatoon.

Of course Zelda wins for me!!

Splatoon even has fast-travel, in squid form no less.

Yeah it looks pretty good fun. Like Plants v Zombies but with some actual ideas.
