Ground Theft Auto Double Pack - XB 9/10
    oops!!

Nice to see that gamesTM has recognised the mass market dirg thats appeared on the streets lately. Most of the scores seem fair and in line with comments I've read on various boards.

    But I'm stunned at:

Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King - XB 5/10
Cant wait to see the mag...will my sub copy be dropping through my letter box tomorrow? the suspence is killing me

A harsh mark for Arx Fatalis ( at least in comparison to other reviews ), but I couldn't help smiling at the Rising Sun grade ( MOH continues to push back every FPS evolution in the past five years, and while it's not the only offender it is by far the most prolific ).

Should be picking up the mag tommorow.

What features are in this issue, and what's the retro machine?

Dammit, I thought the demo of this was really good. Ah well, I'll just have to try it for myself.

It is me or do Games TM reviews seem to be a bit random at times. I'm not talking specifically about this issue but in general. Sometimes they get it spot on, and other times so far wrong its incomprehendable as to how they reached their conclusions. Of course its all a matter of opinion, but opinions should be at least slightly consistant.

That sounds more like Edge to me.

LOL, I'm so glad you said that (I'd have got into trouble )

As for features there's an import feature and the console of the month is the PC Engine

                      Waaaaaaaay too high guys...

Need For Speed: Underground - XB 5/10
Bit low, but I can see where you are coming from (will be interested to see the review text too).

See, I'd have to disagree with you there. Metal Arms is infinately better then anything EA has released in the last few months (although I quite liked SSX3). Maybe if it was a big mech robot you would have liked it a bit more

...I would say it is "as good as" EA's recent output (except NFSU, which I rate as a fairly serviceable arcade racer). Moreover, Metal Arms does have freaking mecha in it (why else do you think I would be pissed about this ), and I am beginning to wonder whether I can leave you guys alone with mecha games...
