I bought GamesTM yesterday for your import feature Pete. Just wanted to say what a great job you did of this, you should be very proud of having your very own import feature printed in a magazine like GamesTM. Well done!!

Many thanks also to everyone at GamesTM who made this possible

You could do but this is an altogether nicer, more focused place. Bit heavy for me to post here often, but i also have another light hearted community of old TGN regulars to go to. Life is good.

Recieved my subscription issue on Saturday, and read some features and of course skimmed.

Well, as my first sub issue, I have to say, I was pleased, an excellent read, really enjoyed the import feature, and kudos on showing some deus ex screens.

Havent digested the whole thing, but to summarise my thoughts:

          Liked:
          Import feature
          Turbo grafx retro feature
Game screens (deus ex and siren esp.)
Some good news tidbits (I thought Digital Chocolate was a joke invented by utopia project, I guess I stand corrected)
Panzer dragoon art pics (sorry I missed the article)
          Japanese XBOX column, very funny.
The fact I didnt feel morrose after reading the mag.
The green muchroom joke on the inside cover, nice.

          Disliked:
Cover Art - Ive never been a fan of CG cover art, especially when a games design sketches would do nicely, but this months made the guy look like he was wearing lip gloss.
Your other CG covers were nicer, though for my crazy taste nothing beats hand drawn art or indeed sprite images. (EDIT: My mistake, I mixed up XBOX metal gear cover with a mock up of GC Twin Snakes cover, sorry if this bracketed comment made no sense before)

This months cover doesnt match the quality of content inside, and had I just glimpsed it, I may have assumed otherwise on the content of the writing. (luckily I get it delivered to my door, so no impulse purchases there)

A small, and probably lame niggle sure, but had I just said praise, then this post would be unbalanced. And I wouldnt want to be thought of as unblanaced.

          Overall, a good issue.

          Just a quick question:
I havent read all the issues, having missed the first few, and the last couple up until my sub started, have you done a NES/Famicom history section yet in retro? Being my retro system of choice (especially the Japanese famicom), I am curious to know if Ive missed it. (a back issue might be in order, do you post to the mainland?)

          Cheers
and rest assured, Ill be here next month to mumble my thoughts.

You've missed our coverage on the NES mate.

It was in issue 5 (the Zelda Walkthrough issue ) I'm pretty sure you can still get it on back order though.

Sublimation is when a solid changes state straight into a gas, missing the liquid state all together.
For example dry ice (solid state carbon dioxide)

Anyways, i like the new retro contact a very nice addition there.

I remember the sega saturn mag panzer dragoon art issue .

Any chance you could do a retro developers article? I'd love to know what happened to Lobotomy Software!

Great Issue, i may even be coaxed into buying something from the reader's selling page.

We have a few retro developers lined up, you'll just have to let us get Christmas out of the way

Ah, I've just read that today. (The mag arrives pretty late here as you might imagine.)

So it was our own, dear, attention-to-detail, live-and-breathe-imports PeteJ, Pete, the Petester, Petebo, Petey, Peter, P-man, das Pett, whom asserted that foreign games had to be converted to 50MHz during the localization process was it? Oh for shame. I've never played a videogame running at fifty million fields, or twenty-five million full frames per second, but I imagine it would be too fast for even Ravon & Razu.

(Actually, I suspect he was Charlotted, but I'll enjoy this while I may.)

As I'm sure you've dreamt of many a time in recent months.

                      Ewwwww.

                        Oi, that's enough of that.
Not you, Mart, you can carry on with the innuendo. I mean you, Mr Shape. Yeah, sure, so mistakes get through - I'm only human (as is anyone else who checks the pages) but to imply that I go around putting mistakes *in*? What would be the point of that?

So you can hold a "spot the mistake" competition in a future issue?

'Spot the mistake' competition? Oh, that's been running since issue one and is very popular on a range of forums. I always have a quick go at it myself before the mag goes to the printers, but damn if I can never get them all right. It's just too hard...

For a moment there I thought you were going to be nice. You people in America obviously don't have uber-50MHz TVs like we have here.
