It's decent but incredibly last gen looking, not much between it and F4. I'm convinced it was only decent overall because the basis of Forza 4 was so strong (though I found F4 to be the better entry). If they aren't super cheap ang go fully next gen, Forza 6 should be quite special. Their first stumble so hopefully we get the real deal when the next game inevitably hits next year.

The weather system in this could result in some real niceness.

I'm praying Rallying makes it in from the start. With weather introduced I could be spraying muck all over the place!

Rallying will be included this time, but to clean all that muck off, you have to buy a virtual car wash DLC for ?14.99.

If you don't, your car will just be a big heavy ball of mud limping along.

Loved the first one so if this has a better location, a better engine and all new weather then it's all going in the right direction. If this delivers that it's a day one purchase. Simple.

Horizon on the 360 will use the Horizon 1 engine by all accounts, with Horizon 2 using a new engine.

Yep. May just upgrade my PC; really had hoped this would be the gen we finally make 60 the norm, but I guess not.

30fps for this is acceptable. It's open world and will move at Veyron speeds. The way the dev has stated it will absolutely not drop frames it sounds exactly like how the original was designed, albeit pumping out a 1080p resolution.

There was a great digital foundry article about it when Horizon launched. Worth digging up as I'm pretty sure this'll be identical.

30 fps is not good at high speed but to be fair to Playground, Horizon was a fluid 30 and it had incredible image quality.

really? while it looked certainly nice overall i couldn't stand the super soft look of the game. on my 65" TV i couldn't even read the cockpit instruments because the resolution was so poor.

F 30fps on driving games. Driveclub and now this. I don't care what the developers think; they're wrong. Do 720p with amazing effects and lighting and 60fps and the game will be better. Much, MUCH better. Us here, Gaf and Digital Foundry will bemoan the lack of 1080p but the scores will be high and people will buy. I should seriously be in charge of all videogame big decisions.
