I feel that driving games that are based on tarmac racing and supposed to have a measure of realism peaked last gen, with titles like GRID, the PGR games and even Forza etc. Like the handling might get more detailed, or the environments might get prettier, but I already think the handling of those games is amazing and the environments look great, so simply making those things better yields no interest for me, and I'm not a car fanatic either so a new fleet of licenced cars does nothing either. What I want to see is stuff like higher framerates, real-time weather that changes along with time-of-day (everything from parched desert sun to arctic conditions), off-road racing with better physics for things like damage - even stuff like scrub and foliage that gets pushed aside when you race through it. Stuff that actually moves things forward; not just a higher res, more detailed (visually) version of the previous game.
