WOW, Nintendo where on fire year one, Mario Kart, Pilot Wings, Zelda, F-zero, Super Mario World and 3rd party's like TMNT and Starwars, and Super Castlevania IV, how come we don't get launch line ups like that these days, the super nintenod hands down has the best year one launch line up and i doubt it will ever be beaten.

Very tough for me. A lot of competition coming from the Cube, which I didn't expect, but that's mostly due to great memories of Rogue Leader, Doshin, REmake, Monkey Ball, and Mario Sunshine. PS1 puts up a good fight, but in retrospect, too much of that lineup is based on nostalgia rather than absolute quality. The SNES has, surprisingly I think, a large portion of its all time best games released right in the first year, such as Mario World, Link to the Past, Mario Kart, and F Zero probably enough to win over anybody in one glance.

But I do think I'll have to go for the N64. Pilotwings 64, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Blast Corps, Doom 64, Star Fox 64, Goldeneye 007, and MRC: Multi Racing Championship are what do it for me. They've given me a lot of joy (and some frustration) over the past few years as well as at the time. Mario 64, Goldeneye, and Starfox 64 alone would probably be enough to do it for me, to be honest.

I'm not sure how accurate this is though. I know Top Gear Rally and Diddy Kong Racing came out at the same time as Extreme G and some other games on this list. Have imports been excluded intentionally? There are some notable omissions if not.

The most amount of games I would like to play are on Cube.

Really hard to choose between SNES and N64 but i have got for the N64. The amount of games on that list have so many memories attached to them. Have to say that all the Nintendo consoles had brilliant first years.

It's just UK titles I believe. How else is SF2 in the list for Super Nintendo?
