This thread wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact most of those games are absolutely fantastic. For god's sake people. The only game I've ever done that with is FFVII, but that is because I was afraid I wouldn't find a copy, and I didn't even own a PSOne at the time...

Every legitimate game that I buy, get free or recieve as a gift I play, for at least 10 minutes.
I get a buzz from seeing it load up. Wether I play to completion is another matter entirely.
Recently got a 3DO with about 15 games, but I only wanted it to play 2 games I already owned. (star control 2 and immercenary)
I played everything, for at least 10 minutes, since I get a buzz out of even crappy games, if a game makes you scream at the TV in first few button presses, youll get a few laughs out of it. (witness "kingdom")
Sports games I rarely ever play for more than 10 minutes, witness the mess that is Madden football.
So, basically I play everything, its a bad idea to leave shrink wrapped games around me, for a start, you cant beat that fresh factory smell.
hmmm, maybe this should be, "games youve never completed/played far into"?
My list of uncompleted:
Suikoden 3
FFX
Morrowind
Radiant Silvergun (certainly not when the average game takes over half an hour)
Resident evil remake GC (so much worse than the PSX version)
Halo (not above normal mode anyway)
Fur fighters
Silpheed PS2
All sports games except Super Soccer on Super Famicom
Sin and Punishment (my adapter doesnt work with it)

The only game that I own and haven't played, even for a limited amount of time is Soul Reaver 2 on PS2. I want to finish the original game first, because I hear that the story pretty much continues right off from the ending of part 1. However, I did boot the game up to the title screen just to see if the disc worked though.
Apart from that, I have a tonne of games that I have bought, played for about 5 minutes, then put back on the shelf. This isn't because the games are bad, it's just that I've been buying so many games lately, that it's difficult to play all of them and go indepth with them. If I don't do that, I find that games don't interest me that much, so I've really got to stop buying games, and start really playing the ones I already have.

Deus Ex 1 (PC)
Prince of Persia (PS2)
IGI 2 (PC)
And I'm sure many more, don't even mention DVDs.... T3, Matrix 2, 24 Season 2... yikes...
Thing is, I spend more time worried about how if I start this game or watch that DVD, I should be doing my Uni work, and if I just got on and played/watched instead of half doing my work and half watching **** daytime TV, I could still get my work done...
