For instance, I have Mario 64 for the WiiU VC. It's just a basic emulation, not an HD version or anything, but that still looks great, because the visuals feel really "solid".

Well-designed graphics will always stand the test of time. Nintendo's artists nearly always do a great job.

I don't think it'll ever age to the point where it is ugly. Conversely, something contemporary like Turok looks hideous today, even though people thought it visually impressive back then.

I thought it looked "hideous" back in the day, but it did have a compelling atmosphere and quite satisfying gameplay. Turok 2 has much clearer, cleaner graphics, but a worse frame rate. Developers didn't have much power to work with in those days.

The first of this years Superbowl ads is out and it's for Pokemons *gulp* twentieth anniversary

They can't be doing too badly if they can afford the $1M a second rate that is normally associated with Super Bowl advertising.

Shame it wasn't a NX commercial, now that would have been a great way to launch.

I dont know why they are bringing this pad out, it doesn't seem to have any special features and it's not even wireless. Might as well stick with the Pro.

That doesn't sound right. A lot of games support using the gamepad and controller pro at the same time, in single player mode. One thing about pokken is that on local 1v1, one person has to use the gamepad and the second person has to use the TV.

Yep another screw up and another reason why I cannot fathom Nintendo right now, how many bloomin control schemes are needed for a console? answer: PS4 ONE, Xbone ONE, Ninendo - I have lost count.............,

AND the killer bit is "Furthermore, those of you looking to grab the Pokk?n Tournament pad should take note that it won’t be compatible with other titles." FFS!!!

The weirdest thing is that they've put quite a lot into Pokken, with this pad etc. - but supposedly in the arcades it's been a flop. Apparently it isn't even that good, which is a shame.

Where does it say it is needed? It's just an extra for fans to buy if they want.
