It's weird Nintendo didn't put voice chat in Splatoon, since it's the most obvious one to have it in (why does SSB4 need it?). I doubt it's actually that necessary, as Splatoon doesn't look as strategic as many other team shooters (not in a bad way - it still looks like a lot of fun, just not of the strategy kind), and it's probably not going to be a deal breaker for a significant proportion of the potential audience. But it would be a nice option for those who do want it, and it sends out completely the wrong message by not having it.Last edited by danstan21; 26-03-2015, 15:57.

It looks like communications would prove really handy in the pre-match lobby where the team can decide on who's going to carry, and who's going to support, etc. Once the game starts it's easy to read, and adapt to, the team dynamic.

Nintendo need to get onboard properly with the online side of things, i think its what's holdig them back, I had load of friends that used to love playing Goldeneye, Mariokart, and ISS64, four player madness, imagine the banter and fun a group of friends could have if Nintendo had a party chat app you wouldn't need in game com's then.

Sony are leagues ahead for actual on-line play and its friends system and simple stuff like being able to transfer your online data to other console or HD . Nintendo are just a joke on-line and are paying the price for not investing and taking on-line seriously years back, when the likes of Miyamoto-san, said on-line was too coslty and not profitable enough, in the Cube era .
The irony now is that SONY and Microsoft make a mint thanks to on-line .Last edited by Team Andromeda; 27-03-2015, 09:56.
