That was worse than I'd hoped but much better than I expected

Looking forward to Mario Maker, Splatoon and the SMT x FE game, plus turbo MK looks a lot of fun.

Now you mention it "Turbo" would have sounded better than "200cc" as an add-on class for Mario Kart. That mode on the F-Zero track/kart is sure to raise a smile.

I'm going to see if VC SM64 is up now as it's criminal I've never completed that game. The Yoshi Amiibo was cute so I'll add that to my existing preorder of the game and I've already paid for the MK8 DLC in the bundle so glad that's making it to April 23rd. Splatoon STILL isn't selling itself to me though...

You have got to love Nintendo. Just announced first N64 games coming to Wii U VC, Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64. Lol insanely priced at ?8.99!!!!. Just what are Nintendo smoking,

Cancelling Zelda and releasing it for the NX would be the smartest thing Nintendo could do now, they've sent the Wii U to it's death...

Also, why have Nintendo completely abandoned the adult gamer, rehashing platformers is cool and all, but surely they appreciate older gamers exist, throw us a bone Nintendo, give us a Metroid...

Fair enough, but variety is always welcome. I'm probably completely wrong (as usual!) but I'd imagine your average male teenager not being to keen on platformers and party games.

Can't help but feel there's a large pool of people Nintendo currently are currently unable to attract. Which surely makes no sense to ignore?

I mean Sony have just released Bloodborne, and it's certainly not going to do Uncharted or Last of Us numbers - but variety is variety...

I don't disagree with you at all. F-Zero turns 25 years old in November and I would love more than anything for Nintendo to mark the occasion by making a new title in the franchise, but it sadly isn't going to happen.

Mario Maker looks lovely. I just saw the Direct on the train and broke into a big smile when I saw it. Yes, I'll probably play it for five minutes but I love what they've done with it.

As for the N64 games, at least they offer a very cheap upgrade price for anyone who already bought them on Wii (and, in that case, they're only a bit more expensive than the Wii VC games. But I was hoping Nintendo would drop the price of Wii VC by now and set the Wii-U VC prices to what the Wii VC ones were back then).

And loads of people will buy it at that price. Why concentrate on building your machine's library of games when you can sucker people into buying your old ones with better profit margins instead?
