Well, ok, we could debate all day about the merits of Skyward Sword, and the reasons for any problems that might or might not have flat-out ruined it and made it totally unenjoyable from start to finish, but Wind Waker is clearly unfinished because there is a dungeon that is blatantly missing. In Zelda you collect three MacGuffins after beating three dungeons, then there's some kind of game-changing event, then you do around seven dungeons. That's the rough Zelda formula. In Wind Waker, they just GIVE you the third MacGuffin. There is an obvious dungeon-shaped hole in the plot at that moment. That's inarguable. The game is great, sure. But it's unfinished. If getting the new Zelda this year means a final product like that, I'm glad it's been delayed until next year. Does seem like it might end up like Twilight Princess though, on current and next gen systems (although it seems like EVERYTHING is on both systems these days anyway, so I guess it's moot).

I honestly don't know. No doubt Zelda is the bigger title but these still stand out as a pretty huge symbol if the Wii U becomes the first Nintendo console not to have them in some form. It would also mean that it does not go beyond the realm of possibility that a Nintendo console will happen without an original Zelda, be it the Wii U or some other one. I reckon AC suits the portables better but still part of me thinks it would be really weird if the Wii U doesn't get it.
