Home release out this week. Anyone else getting it? SVC was a bit of a disappointment (although not a total loss IMO ) but I've heard nowt but good things about this and I'm really looking forward to it so it's about time it had a thread!

The japanese MVS version is available for $206, I'm just waiting for it to hit $140/$150 next year and I'm there

I rate SSII as one of the top 3 fighters ever made. And the others are pretty great too.

At todays (frankly mental) exchange rate, the AES is ?213 including EMS!
When I pre-ordered it was ?225 and SVC was ?235. Just shows how great the exchange rate is at the mo.

I was playing some Samsho 3 last night and I quite like it, as you probably know the 2 slash/2 kick set up gave way for a 3 slash/1 kick set up which I prefer and also SSIII is a much quicker game, I don't know why it doesn't get rated better

I like SSIII too. I think I prefer it to IV actually. Nice backgrounds and atmosphere. Slightly dodgy difficulty and the fight system isn't as deep as 4 but it's got a certain something.

Samurai Shodown is probably my fave SNK series. Hopefully Playmore haven't screwed it. If I'm satisfied with it after I play it in the arcade I'll save up for the AES cart.

They've already taken out fatalities though.

Right now if I had $300+ for a game it would def. go down on Garou instead. And a bloody scart cable too.

From what I've heard on neo-geo forums they're supposed to be bloody good, but then again there is a lot of fanboyism there so it'll be hard to know without playing it

I dunno though, theres a lot of hate for SVC and that's the holy grail of Neo Geo. People on there can be critical, SS0 has a lot to live up to and I don't think i've read one bad thing on there so far. I'll find out on Monday.
