It may be oversized but isn't the resolution something pretty poor like 800x640?
Off screen play is nice if the missus is watching soaps or something, but actual utilisation, it's a no unless someone can correct me.

Now debunked as a mistake in image manipulation by the add company.

I wouldn't say the GamePad screen is oversized. Just the right size I'd say actually, since the games you play on it in offscreen mode are designed for 32"+ sets.

It has its flaws - resistive screen and poor battery life chief among them - but the ergonomics and screen size are just right for me personally.

            NICE MOVE. #JoinTehElite

I mean a USB dongle that plug into the Wii U and says to it "yes, a gamepad is currently connected to this machine wirelessly" so that I never have to use my actual gamepad again.

The GamePad is definitely beneficial in Mario Kart 8 and Windwaker, I feel. In MK8 it allows you to see the positions of other players on a map, and what items they're holding. Invaluable when playing online. In Windwaker it allows you to browse your inventory, assign items to buttons and look at the map without pausing the game.

Neither are sufficient justification for the concept of course, but they are useful.

Think id be up for a slimline gamepad with better battery life and better resolution screen.
