I can't find it on GAME. I have heard rumours about it being available in Japan, but I don't know, and I also wouldn't know how to get it from there.

Japan how? Through a card? I could get on the case but I've never seen PSN download cards for games here, only Nintendo ones.

GAME have them on sale in store, only about ?2 right now to get rid of them. I might be instore on the weekend so I'll see if there's one there if you want. I'm sure I've heard somewhere they still work.

Even though I have MvC2, Doom, and Smash TV purchased my console can't download them when I send them to the DL queue via. the Xbox website.

          Rubbish.

I thought you were still supposed to be able to download them even if they were removed? Apart from Outrun, iirc.

Maybe expired stuff has to be downloaded on the console itself because of licensing?

MrKirov, if you find two I'd be very appreciative if you could grab a PS3 one for me, too.

Very appreciative, if you know what I mean.

You are supposed to be able to, but mine refuses to download. It takes up the storage quota with the game title and the exclamation in the yellow circle, but that's it. No active download or anything.

                Rubbish.

Ahh. Is it a corrupt download?

I've downloaded a few things on 360 and PS3 that were removed from the store but worked fine, although I hadn't tried downloading them through the website stores, just on the consoles themselves.

I'm surprised about Outrun. That's definitely one I've managed to download on 360.

It only happens with all of the titles that are removed from the shop. Also, I can't find them on the console storefront, the only way I can find a download link is via. 'account management > download history' on xbox.com.

                      Right, gotcha. That's definitely rubbish.

And rather scary if it's not just a glitch.

Odd, cos I just did what dataDave did, though thru the 360 dash, and it's nearly downloaded. UK machine/account, if that makes any difference?

Wow, first time played in years, clocked twice in 15mins and 5 new cheevos, despite me not having a bleedin' clue what was happening, so VERY similar to the original.

Spectacular, frenetic, lush-looking, but also a wee bit 'ummmmm...', I like its classic SEGA guts but not a patch on OutRun....

Missing Outrun on PS3 is one of my biggest failures. I have it on my 360 account but have no 360. Although, maybe I still had a 360 when they took it off the stores...

Well, another fab thing about OutRun is that you can play equally ace, easily-available versions on the OG XBox and PS2, whereas Climax seems likely to vanish indefinitely into the digital ether, I always find stuff like that saddening.

I always wanted XBLA Double Dragon but I was too late to the party.

Tragic mishandling of all that hard work. And for what? Licencing and digital distribution issues? What a waste.
