Anyone that believes drivatar is an actual thing needs therapy. It's a load of rubbish. Forza AI has certainly been suspect in the motor sport games.

I have a friend since 1996 who has worked on pretty much all of the big British made racing games and just happened to be the main guy behind the car models and effects on Forza Horizons 2 he can tell us if drivatar is real or not.

The Forza 5 AI is far better than most . I would say Codemasters tend to win for AI. But Forza 5 AI is vast improvement on what's gone before in Forza games and light years ahead of GT . Still the Japanese seem pretty much inept when it comes to AI in their games sadly

That sounds awesome to me. Other racers which run at 30fps, can afford to have certain extras(more detailed scenery etc..). But I much prefer a smooth 60fps and a nice clear resolution. Sacrifices have had to be made, so it's just a matter of taste whether someone wants ultra detail at 30fps, or less detail at 60fps.

Of course, it will be interesting to see how Gran Turismo 7 performs. Hopefully it will push the PS4 to the limits and really impress in all areas. I won't get my hopes up.

Even one of Codemasters worst releases, Grid Autosport, was elevated because the AI was so fun to race against.

I think PD best days are well behind them . Their Games aren't even great tech demo's like they once were. It's like the PS3 really killed the Team . Maybe they'll do better on the PS4 , but GT 5 and 6 were train wrecks of games that weren't finished but still shipped anyway . They did have great handling models I guess , but in every other area GT 5 and 6 were outclassed .

Hope that Codemasters make Dirt Rally and Grid 3 for the next gen consoles

Train wrecks? Of course their were issues (GT5 being the worst because of the update and loading issues) but they were still great games.

As a car enthusiast, GT is train wreck.
They should have done with 5 what they did with 3, cut back a ton of the models and then done each one properly.

5 just gave us too many needless and ugly cars. Limited interiors. Terrible engine sounds. No exterior modding. Dull 'racing' (those stupid rolling starts).

There is so much wrong with a once astounding series it's untrue.

As a car enthusiast, it's a wet dream!

GT5 was a console game high point at the time for driving physics and car modelling, had real time weather and time of day effects, overwhelming collection of cars and tracks, brilliant photo mode and went to real lengths to indulge you in car culture with the never replicated GT TV.

Yes there's problems. Train wreck? Not at all.

Is that what your mate on YouTube said :P . The games were far from finished and offered not much than what had gone before and the AI was laughable . Its the same old GT... lovely car models and that's about it . The series hasn't moved on since the PS2 days imo. The game looks slow to play, the same dull drone AI, weak course design and rubbish engine sounds and utterly boring grind system .

Codemasters and the likes of Turn 10 are way ahead imo

What it shows is everyone one has different views and opinions . That's why its always best to play or try it for yourself . It is nice to see some Codemaster fans though , there isn't many these days

Eurogamers preview seems to concur with the line that F6 is an improvement but still not there yet.

Turn 10 should switch from an entry every 2 years to every 4... then the gap year could be the return of Project Gotham Racing. It's crazy how good PGR4 still is
