Remember it being Rock hard in the arcade, I'm sure it will be better than my fond memories Commadore 64 version. Cannot wait until the day we get to the stage where Sega Rally 1-2 and Daytona are on handhelds.

Please post impressions when you guys get it. I got addicted to the Saturn port about 5-6 years ago. What a wonderful game.

Probably worth pointing out as well that all of the first wave of Sega 3D Classics (barring 3D Sonic the Hedgehog) will be selling for half-price on the 3DS eShop (?2.24) between this Thursday and next Thursday.

              3D Altered Beast
              3D Super Hang-On
              3D Galaxy Force II
              3D Streets of Rage
              3D Ecco the Dolphin
3D Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
              3D Space Harrier

Hmm, shame. OutRun and Sonic are the only ones I'm really interested in. Unlike a lot of people here, I never got into AfterBurner.

Well you could just, y'know, cough up the monies for OutRun and Sonic if you do want them?

Even at full price (?4.50), they're not exactly wallet-busters.

I paid ?4.49 for the Spectrum version in 1990 when I was nine years old. The same price for this version is going to be a no brainer the instant it's available.

They drafted in Chewbacca to fix the bugs on the older versions.

                            Or was it R2-D2?

Thanks for the heads up will pick up SOR for that price! Interested in the others but have a majority in Mega Drive Collection. Guess the 3DS ones are Arcade ports though right?

Out of the first wave, Super Hang-On, Galaxy Force II and Space Harrier are coin-op ports. The others (and 3D Sonic 1, for that matter) are MD ports.

Of the second wave, After Burner II, OutRun, Fantasy Zone and Thunder Blade (out in May) are coin-op ports.

Impressively, Fantasy Zone II (out next month) wasn't originally a coin-op - it was a Master System title. M2 skilfully remade it as a System 16 game that was originally released on the PS2 in 2008 as part of the Sega Ages collection.
