With this one, in terms of main entries, future based releases are now in line with the number of WW2 entries they made. Presuming AW2 is being made at Sledgehammer we're passing the tipping point. It's a shame they moved on from the 'Nam era so quick, it was a good fit.

This one being Treyarch's entry buys it a lot of good will from me, I wish they mixed things up a bit though as the future periods they're doing between the three subseries aren't even visually distinct from one another so Ghosts/Advanced Warfare/Black Ops all look the same.

Hopefully, the Ghosts implosion will mean IW start with something fresh next year. Who knows if this is the last Black Ops though, World at War is canon with this series so it's technically the longest running CoD subseries now and Treyarchs own little bubble universe so they might want to keep it running.

yes lots of WW2 entries but lots of battlegrounds haven't been touched at all. where is Demjansk, Monte Cassiono or Tobruk? Rommel's Afrikakorps campaign alone would make for whole game. and what about the war that started it all? anyone knows a single good WW1 shooter?

For me, no servers for MP no buy, as much as i liked the AW direction the lag and p2p network can't keep up and killed it for me.

Yup. And that's why I really do think I am out this time round as I've had enough of this stuff which doesn't even feel like it deserves the name 'Call of Duty' anymore.

We had prosthetic limb technology in AW already, & if they decide to go with a super human/robotic hybrid idea then that's basically exo suits without the need for the exo suit. Plus there's rumours of wall running abilities in this one, so that's another idea stolen from Titanfall which will probably be as badly implemented as the boost jump was in AW.

We don't know the whole SP story on this as of yet, so it may go thru certain periods of history up to 2065, or maybe the super humans are bad guys & the Blk Ops team are sent in to save the day, or its about maintaining peace during the revolt.

There's so much encrypted stuff that people have found on the internet which leads on various directions or hints at events that its hard to pin it down. Again fairplay to Trey for putting on so much effort, but is it all hype yet again?

Details of the game leak ahead of the reveal:

-Campaign playable in 4 player co-op
-Campaign designed around offering cinematic arena style play
-Campaign characters are customisable
-Zombie mode returns

MP gameplay sounds like an evolved version of CoD:AW's with a further thrust jumps and mantling focus.

a co-op camapign would be much appreciatead. i just hope this is a fully fledged current gen game in terms of development ressources. but i doubt it.

There's also gonna be a beta released for those who pre-order for Xone, PS4 & PC.
Some images have shown how the soldiers will look, which is basically identical to the AW soldiers. 1 image even contains what looks like some kind of Titan in the background, so they've nicked the wall running, boost jump & Titan suits from the far superior Titanfall .

I'll pre-order for the beta, only because I will then cancel my pre-order soon after activating the beta coz I know that no matter how this turns out I wont be paying full whack for it. I haven't paid full price for a COD since the disappointment of MW2.

I just thought I'd add that i had a random sequence flash thru a dream i was having last night. It was from Blk ops 3 & there were a bunch of soldiers riding in the back of a vehicle, while a Sargent (possibly Woods) was stood up & shouting out orders.
