Was this one even well liked enough to bother? It certainly was nowhere near the level of 3/3SE.

      Speedy likes it!

I still say I prefer the newer DmC to DMC4, and that's only after the one playthrough of it recently.

Many people claim this to have objectively the best combat in the genre. Bayonetta for me though.

I think it gets too much hate, it is a good game. The fact you're playing half of it with Nero and then going back on yourself as Dante is kinda cheap though.

That's my main point, the same levels and bosses twice, and a Dante that's alot less fun to play.

I really enjoyed DMC4 but going back to Dante after playing Nero was kinda odd. It felt like a step backwards to me in the way the fighting played out.

The above can be applied to Resident Evil HD, but not this.

I'm a bit out of the loop with this series. I can't remember which ones I played, possibly just the first two.

Devil May Cry 1 to 3 came out on the PS2, then 4 came out on PS3/360, then the HD Collection of 1 to 3 was released to PS3/360 and finally DmC, a reboot of the series, came out on PS3/360.

The game we're talking about here is an "HD" remake of the PS3/360 game Devil May Cry 4, yeah?

This one wasn't bad but I remember it being a slog in the middle. Final boss was brill, mind.

Yup, ?2. Worth a look QC at that price.

I got my most recent copy for nowt off of my mate because the SE is coming out soon. Steelbook NTSC-U copy with Saurian written guide too, very swish.

Did DMC turn out to be any good?

I got as far as "that's not Dante" and had no interest in anything else to do with the game.

I always saw Devil May Cry as a combat system tethered to an interesting main character. Change the main character, and you may as well make another game (God of War, Bayonetta, El Shaddai...).

I was completely turned off by DMC and only got around to playing it a few months ago, its surprisingly strong and as it goes on closer to the original series than it first appears.

You're comparing God of War and El Shaddai to the likes of DMC and Bayonetta? Different genre man.

DmC is worth a play though.
