One things for sure, GTA6 is going to be the biggest media launch of all time, by far, the hype is palpable. All my staff were talking about today was trailer and how amazing it looked, some of them are casual gemers, 1 hard core one who we have frequent gaming chats about, but ALL of them were talking about it and how they cant wait, at least they shut up about football for a day, so thanks for that Rockstar.

Its guna sell some copies thats for sure.

"I'm going for my fifth GTA6 Platinum Trophy guys! GTA6 Re-Enhanced Definitive Edition here I come!"

Funny enough I'm about to pick up the Definitive Edition on PS5 for 22 quid on the store. That's my weekend sorted

So The Know has industry insiders they have been right about 50% of the time, they feel confident this leak is legit so I'm making a thread about it. The next GTA or GTA 6 is codenamed PROJECT AMERICAS and will be set in Vice City AND South America. That is right in 2 locations! Which reminds me ...

Former Rockstar dev confirms GTA6 began development five years after GTA5's release. Development began in 2018 immediately as work was wrapping up on RDR2

One of the devs wrote on Reddit they “were” working on a 60fps mode, with no other details given, then a few hours later deleted the post.

At this stage I would expect a 40fps mode on Pro as a best case scenario with everything else with a choppy 30fps.

Yep, I know many are still holding out for 60fps on Pro but everything seems to suggest the CPU will prohibit it even if Rockstar cared to.

Is the fact that there's never been any kind of performance update to RDR2 for PS5 enough to prove that point? I can see them being the same thang. RDR2 is still one of the games of recent times that truly blew me away when I saw it on PS4. Even today, it still takes some beating from this generation.

Possibly, going off the sales momentum for the game as well they might see it as a waste of resources as well given it's kept moving regardless. Without the momentum in $$$ to Online they don't seem too quick to spend time on other titles than GTAV

This pisses me off no end the lack of 60fps on RDR2, it looks like a flicker book show now days on 4k screens, makes me want to vomit.

Following the GTA 6 delay and release of trailer 2, Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive has issues new financial reports to investors.

I wonder how many people have bought GTAV? There's a lot of room for double, triple, quad-dipping which is as much of a compliment to the games success as any - I'd be curious as to how many have rebought it repeatedly over the years versus unique users at this point

I've double-dipped. 360 for the story, PS4 during lockdown for the online with mates.
We did play a good chunk of RDR2 Online together first, though.

There's an episode of the Simpsons where they go to Itchy & Scratchy Land and, in an homage to Westworld, the animatronics go on a murderous rampage.
The episode finished with Marge wondering if they're having the same issue in Euro Itchy & Scratchyland, cut to a lonely Frenchman on the gate asking if there's anyone there as a joke on low visitor numbers at the opening at Euro Disney.

That's how it felt, but in reverse.
RDR2 was fairly quiet and you'd occasionally see another player and tip your hat.

When we moved to GTA is was absolute pandemonium.
I spawned with a pistol and someone killed me - WITH A JET FIGHTER.

The whole city sounded like a warzone with explosions every 2 minutes.

                          Good times!

                            Thinking about it, I've bought:

                            PS3 - Grand Theft Auto V
PS4 - Grand Theft Auto V: Enhanced Edition
XBO - Grand Theft Auto V: Enhanced Edition
PS5 - Grand Theft Auto V: Definitive Edition
XSX - Grand Theft Auto V: Definitive Edition
PC - Grand Theft Auto V

                            versus

PS4 - Red Dead Redemption II
PC - Red Dead Redemption II

That 215m v 74m sales ration makes sense now!

I haven't bought, or even played, GTAV!

GTA5 I bought the boxed PS5 version for £15 when it finally went 60fps on console, played it for 40mins and haven’t picked it up since, i honestly thought it was a dull game with a total lack of character. So 1 copy for me.

RDR2 I got on launch and was vastly more excited for, played start to finish in a few weeks then did another play through about a year later. 1 copy.
