I anticipated it would be announced soon, that GTA6 would be delayed, as we edge closer to the middle of 2025 and there have been no official updates since the trailer back in December 2023, which slated it for 2025 release.

Glad they have settled on a specific date. I can still see it slipping again, even if it is by a few more months, to get a fall release in 2026.

As we have waited so long for this game already, I almost don’t want it to be released next year. As the thought of a new GTA game coming soon is more comforting, than knowing the next release is likely to be 15+ years from now or something. I may not even be around to experience it at that point…

Yep, on average we're now looking at Grand Theft Auto VII in 2039 at the minimum. By son will be 24 years old - he wasn't born when GTAV came out.

They're 1000% going for variable res at 30fps and some of the physics only being in cutscenes. Makes the 4 following rereleases easy to stack up too

The trailer says captured on PS5. Seemed to be a few stutters but looked good.

PC will be the only way to play at 4k 60fps .................................. in 2028

I’ll wait to see if the Pro has a 60fps mode, but I won’t hold my breath. I have to admit though, it does fantastic, everything oozes quality and effort, i can’t fault that.

edit. watched this on desktop and ruh roh, frame rate issues in the trailer, does not bode well for even a stable 30, I’ll just take my thoughts of 60 on pro out back and shoot them now.

Was wondering when the next trailer would drop… it looks very good indeed. I even spotted the PS5 controller on the coffee table towards the end of the trailer. No doubt the trailer will be dissected to its Nth degree by the usual suspects.

It all looks like cutscenes, no actual gaming yet, but enough there to unpack…

I know they like their presentation and we're still a year out but some gameplay would have been nice, the cutscenes/story are always the least interesting part of Rockstar games but I'm guessing we won't see any till a few weeks before release in previews.

I'm still mindful of them changing the gameplay up for the worse. As visually nice as it looks I'd just as easily taken a new game made out of the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition engine than face a 13 year wait
