We all know pc community will break that in days and have it running at 120 anyway so not a massive issue, its the rampant cheating that always sets in on pc thats more the issues.

60 is fine, going up to 120 you just don’t get that same smoothing out of 30-60.

I for one am shocked that the PC community are up in arms, thinking that they know best about a thing before it's even released. Theirs is typically such a considered and open-minded position.

I'll be playing it on PS4 so it'll be 15-20 fps if I'm lucky, just like old skool Demons Souls.

Only thing I don't like about the gameplay trail is the magical bouncy pads for horses. I'm sorry but that's just stupid. Why not design the terrain better instead of reverting to having to fling horses up mountains and over rivers? I'm quite surprised From would do this as they're usually brilliant at level design.

100% agree. Although the horseback thing in general irks me; magical horse appears whenever you want it. Presumably so they can make the maps bigger that the Souls games, but if they're bigger but I can speed through on a horse what are we even doing?

It's a magical horse that poofs out of nowhere and your biggest issue is it has visible jump pads?

Magically appearing horses are a fact of life in gaming now. Think Roach, one whistle and that dude would be behind you in a split second. Bouncing horses, however, are a step too far for my gaming palate. Why not just give it wings and make it a pegasus or something? That would be more 'plausible' in a dark fantasy landscape than Super Mario bounce pads, I reckon.

a step to far, brilliant. It looks more like a Kirin in design, i like it personally.

I'm assuming you can spend "souls" on upgrades. If one of those upgrades isn't double-jump for the horse I'm gonna be disappointed.

I feel it just destroys the gravitas of what is basically a Soulsborne.

"Welcome, chosen undead...I mean 'tarnished'. Many and dreadful are the tasks lying ahead as you encounter the fallen lords and fog and so on, and...could you please just stop your horse bouncing about for a minute?!"

Enjoying the scale and vistas of an open world in a From soft game maybe? horsey also seems to feature in the combat with lots of different ways to attack the bosses too.

But your right its like in real life when they put things really far away and you have to get in a car and go places why cant everything be nearer, thankfully we don't have to mess with horses these days but that's not the point. If your so inclined you don't have to go anywhere these days we've made massive leaps over lockdown!!!

Take cinema at home, they still fleace you on tickets but no buggers fleecing me for drinks and popcorn so thats a win and yeah poor old black widow dosent get as much money but shes not short of it now is she. an also why go to the shops when amazon is so easy, yeah these jeans i bought are to big but ive got a belt and i didnt have to go to one of them shopping center things, its win win, i get badly fitting clothes Jeff gets to play with rockets and massive boats we're all happy.

What i like best though is you don't even have to go to restaurants these days want a kfc, or Mc Donalds? no more risking getting stabbed by a chav, now some poor sod who used to make money driving people around spends his night going backwards and forwards from McDonald handing out cold soggy food, lifes great aint it.

I can see peoples views on the bouncy horse. It creates a bit of a dissonance between the grittyness and doom of the game, and a flying 'space Horse'.
I don't mind it. Its just a gameplay feature.

I think the best solution to the magically appearing horse paradox was Darksiders 2, where it was actually a raven that flapped about after you and could transform because magic. Having it flapping around made it feel more plausible and cool when the horse appeared. The hoverbike things in Destiny that were conjured by light/nano magic from your 'ghost' were also a good variation on that theme. The times it doesn't work is when there's clearly nothing there and no potential of horse for miles around and then - whistle - he's behind you. Maybe Elden Rings will find a functional solution. Still, those bouncy pads.

You do realise your talking about a video game that’s about an imaginary dead person in an imaginary dead place with imaginary monsters right? So the imaginary poofing horsey is really the least of the issues here 🤣

We wouldn't be on a gaming forum if we'd not nitpick every tiny detail about fantasy worlds that exist only within the cyberspace created by overengineered pieces of silicon!
