Your favourite Shmup ships?

Shoot em ups are great. The majority of them have great artwork and some of the ships are sexy. Even when they're drawn in pixels.
So let's have it. I wanna hear/see (leave pics) of ships in your armada of heroes.

Will you have a Silvergun, a CNCS1, a Vic Viper, a D117B, a Gunhed, a Fire Leo-03 Styx, an R-9 Arrowhead, a Solvalou, a Twinbee or ...?

One of my faves is the CNCS1 from Hellfire. It had this kind of generic look to it, but I liked the way it changed its gun and colours depending on the shot type you changed to.

Man, Toaplan made some decent shooters didn't they?

I do love Vic Viper because I've been (virtually) piloting one for years.



I quite like it when they're based on real aircraft from an alternate reality. There's an anime series called Yukikaze that had a Japan-only Xbox release.


Macros Plus has some sweet ships, but am I cheating with games based on anime?
