A good read as usual as it stop me playing on my GBA SP for a few days.

How about a free demo disc occasionally as long you don't put up the price

Hope the next retro is the DC.
Is the DC classed as Retro?

To be honest who wants to read about the Game Gear?

Hey we not all that bad! Ok yes you do get the ocasional fool, but newbies always seem to get something thrown in their face.

And someone said theres more casual gamers over at gamesradar, u'd be suprised, it has improved over the last month or so.

P.S Looking through the other covers for the Games magazine, why did you not use the viewtiful joe or the castlevania ones? They were a work of art. I used to love seeing what cover you guys were going to put on but now they have become very boring and mundane, just look at that sims edition cover (worst cover ever). Put that originality back in!

            Just read the USA column.

Someone give "The Shape" a hug.
One of the best articles Ive read in ages, and absolutely spot on.

The Shape posts here fairly often, though I don't recommend talking to him (he seems to be obsessed with shooting dead bodies).

It's a shame the Advanced Wars 2 cover couldn't be used (with the two tanks) as that was fab, as was the alternative Issue 13 cover, which had the Import Games feature listed on the front. Shame.

              Damn shame.

I know the shape posts here.

I bumped into him once here, he argued vehemently that CDs that I carried on my person would set off the metal detectors at Narita airport. While I insisted that they had not. Indeed, to aid packing I carried most of my CD games on my self. And I maintain that stance.....

sorry, went off on a tangent there, but its true I tell you!

                  I wouldn't... you don't know where he's been.

Had a good read of alot of things.
A worrying trend has hit me.
not so much the mag, but the state of gaming.
Check the previews, is it me, or is the majority of games either western in origin or at least heavily western influenced? (like Bio4 and Onimu3)

I dont like that. Not that I dont like western games, but its not exactly balanced. Especially since theyre either have medievel settings or some kind of generic millitary game, and all seem painted in the same 3 shades of grey and brown.

Ollie king looked amazing, especially since I was a huge fan of JSRF.
The preview commented on how JSRF didnt sell too well. Maybe by mass market casual gamer standards, but Id be curious to know how many serious gamers bought it? My guess is, any hardcore gamer worth his salt with an XBOX owns the game, and I dont mean the Americans who dream about splinter cell in binary and can shoot you down while eating lunch and calling you a fag on xbox live, I mean old skool gamers. Nice info about the game, but it seemed a little pessimistic.

Let me just say, I approve of your liberal usage of screenshots as usual.
The better than/worse than mini screens is genius and a helpful gauging tool, keep it going.
Though sometimes the reviews sections feel a little too cleanly cut around the edges. I rather do like the colouring outside the borders feel of the retro and other sections. With snippets of image here and there, gives things a richer feel to them.

Obviously we're in no position to query your judegement, (seeing as we get enough of that from internet forums every month)
Brilliant quote in room 101, but surely you jest?

Anyway, digested some more and I like it. Interested to see whats coming up, since the next issue section didnt exactly set my world on fire with promises of mafia and driver 3.

                    see you next issue

I've been largely away from the site for about a month, mostly looking after visitors, getting hopelessly out of my depth in the parallel world of audiophilia, and, obviously, shooting dead bodies.

However, I am back, and accepting all hugs. Thanks for the kind words, Otaku. That sort of thing keeps me warm during the Big Freeze here in the North East.

Must dash. These dead bodies don't shoot themselves, you know.

                          Aha! He returns.

May the forum be vile, twisted and oh so disturbed once more!
