As you guys probably already know, one of the challenges with Saga is that Sega managed to lose the source code. So any remake/remaster would need to be built entirely from the ground up.

There's also this. Do I really want the Bloober Team Unreal Engine version of this masterpiece? I mean, no.

Honestly I think the best and most respectful way to make the game available on modern platforms/storefronts would be to develop a good Saturn emulator and package the original finished game software into that.

It would be cool if that happens one day.

Just EDF5. Up to about 77% completion.
There's still a very real risk of dying, even with the weapons unlocked, but it definitely loses its edge when it's not seat-of-your-pants survival.

I suspect that's due to return on Inferno difficulty!

        EDF5, sorry!
        Up to about 78% completion.
It's a long uphill battle at the moment!

It's quite funny as most of the players are either 9% n00bs tyring to do Hardest difficulty with pea shooters and papier-mâché armour or 100% all-weapon Rambo types with hundreds of thousands of armour points. For context, I've about 7000, so they're clearly playing with hacked saves.

I've got about 10 levels on Hardest left to complete.

I'm still loving it and it's guzzling all my free time, so I've not watched any films for ages.

I saw my son was starting a game of Overcooked, so I grabbed a pad and joined in this externally joyous and whimsical co-op puzzler.
Underneath the fun exterior beats the black heart of a spiteful, friendship-ruining monstrosity.
Needless to say, I'm divorcing my son and he's moved into the garden shed because I didn't move clockwise around the kitchen, chop onions quick enough, stop the soup burning and didn't wash the plates up in the right place.

Balatro (PS5/Switch) - Finished about 8 runs on different card packs. The one more go factor is strong in this one.

Helldivers 2 (PS5) - This game is just so good with a couple of friends. The launch music only is worth the asking price

Street Fighter 6 (PC/PS5) - I reached Master rank recently on my PC version of the game and now I'll be working towards that on PS5, but with a little less ranking anxiety (now I've got there already).

Infraspace - a combo of Factorio and City Skylines - but the sum is less than its parts.

Etrian Odyssey HD - old-school first-person dungeon crawler ported from the DS

Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game - CRPG set on a colony ship - nice atmosphere, but the indie nature doesn't do this one favours.

In between FFVII Rebirth I gave the new map on Battlefield a go. Not great getting hit with 1m RPM SMGs from across the map

Having played through Tomb Raider 1 and 2, I'm now skipping between games to find what's next. I might go for Yakuza Kiwami 2 but I tried Celeste, which people were once raving about, and I don't get it. I'm just platforming through screens with no idea if I'm making progress or where I'm going so I don't know what this is. And I'm trying this Balatro one people are playing. I've seen people talking about winning a run and, so far, I don't know what that is. I think my issue so far is that I keep winning but I don't know if I'm actually playing well. I'm sure I'll hit a wall soon enough but won't have built enough knowledge to figure out why. We'll see.

I have a bunch of remasters I keep opening up though. The Dark Forces one. A Duke Nukem release. Even the Master Chief collection. Can't seem to stick to something.

But I have finally ordered myself a new Switch. My kids stole mine probably around two years ago so I'm looking forward to that.

Mainly Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. Fully immersed all over again ... only this time I'm taking in the dlc chapter. It segues smoothly into the main game and provides a nice change of pace and scenery.

Also Pinball M. If you like pinball and horror films it's a no-brainer. Licenced tables include The Thing and Chucky's Killer Pinball ... but my fave so far is probably the Duke Nukem one. None are quite up to the standard of the Williams tables in Pinball FX but the grimy horror presentation amd decent licences add a lot.

Started Ni no Kuni this evening. Wondering when the actual gameplay starts…
Also been playing a bit of Penny’s Big Breakaway. It’s a magic yo-yo based platform game from some of the peeps behind Sonic Mania. It’s quite enjoyable and runs at a super smooth 120fps on the Series X. Nice colourful art and bouncy music too.

                      Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

The Baldur's Gate 3 of the Warhammer universe - and so far so good. There are some reports of bugs in the later chapters in the game, but the first 90 minutes I played were problem free. I liked what I've played of it so far.

WitchSpring R - quite a cutesy anime JRPG where you take on the role of a young witch who is obsessed by pies. Pieberry is one of those characters that on the surface seems pleasant and nice, but hides a massive evil streak without realising it. All japanese voiced with English subs.

I've been playing through Portal 2 with my son. It's totally the best coop game ever. We've finished the main game and are now on to the free DLC. It's so good. The puzzles are spot on. Progressively harder and sometimes so obvious you kick yourself when you figure it out. Highly recommend. Backwards compatible on the Xbox.

I decided to finally try out the latest momoden game as i was in the mood for something not too taxing, the newest incarnation is crazily big not only containing japan but the entire planet a board probably a thousand spaces big but i haven't counted. Easily many hundreds as you train, plane & sail your way around the globe to each appointed marker station. Thankfully konami were kind enough to include the fantastic furigana mode from the last release so absolutely everything is readable a quick glance of the card descriptions via google translate lets me know what rules the cards do and it's enough to pretty much learn a huge chunk of the game as the rules mostly stay the same between releases. Liking the new casino space in the usa which can single handedly turn the tables mario party style where you go from last to first in a instant.

The horror of the god of poverty binbogami is still in it which gives you the poor every turn. But passing another player rubs the poor off onto them and he will hound them till they touch another player or he evolves into something better or more likely even worse like the demon king where you will get waves of financial destruction cast upon you. It's brutally funny against other human players if you can get them sadly nobody i know has the game so i'm going to try to see if i can get a game against some japanese players although i'll be at a severe disadvantage lol. So far had a 2 year game that lasts about 30 mins it thoughtfully tells you roughly how long it will take as you change the years with 99 years lasting nearly 30 hours for those sadists however you can save & resume at any time and apparently this works in online mode too but i have no idea how it pulls it off if the players you were playing are not online im gonna guess the game makes cpu control the others.

The casino brings big bucks (or yen)

There was already one special collaboration train unlocked to play from the japanese chain pizza la, the game also scans you system for a save file to unlock a extra bonus train for players of the previous game. Sadly my UFO yakisoba special train from the other game doesnt carry across but it's fun they add new events and collaborations like these.

The board is vast so you have to zoom in & out between turns to decide the best route to reach the target station in whatever country is chosen.

I was robbed of first place by the cpu in the last few turns it went to the casino and bet huge and won a jackpot, cheating git lol.

I know it's probably way too risky for konami to put the massive effort in to translate this to english as while some would be interested not enough to make it worthwhile for them which is a shame as it's an amazing board game like monopoly on steroids. Least with the furigana above the kanji i no longer have to select and guess like i did with the older games as the kanji made it really hard.

Lovely online sessions with QC, but I really need to add a message shortcut for "don't bother reviving me, just keep fighting!"

No. You have to hammer the ‘help me’ radial command a million times, so that a bloke with 20000 health can halve their health in order to revive your 550 health ass. It’s tactically sound. According to a certain brand of moron that gets on.
