Finished Sifu (PS4) and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I'm enjoying mopping up the cheevs and reckon I could platinum the main game with a bit of effort.

You have to spare all the bosses, which is funny because some are so tough you barely make it through, then the second boss I just destroy and I don't get the chance to spare him!

Highly recommended if you like tougher combat games. This game is ideal for me and I feel like a total badass walking into a room I'd have to run away from the enemies in at the start, to now taking them all down without taking a hit.

I've been playing Bloodstained Ritual of the Night.

Like Castlevania and Metroid etc, I find these types of game to be my most chilled, more-ish and treat of a game. I did get this when it was first released. Played it for a while, but then I must have gotten distracted by another game and just totally forgot about it. Now, I think I'm back to where I was originally up to and thoroughly enjoying it. Things like the shard mechanics and the myriad of weapons, items and armour you can pick-up. Seems the game has had a decent update too.

Played and finished main campaign of Cyberpunk. Absolutely loved it, enough to spin it out to 90 hours pursuing side quests and enjoying the world vibe and the objectively terrible music of the near future. Fabulous game, so stylish. The whole economy of consumables was totally pointless, though (despite their many dozens of them, they only offered temporary boost to health or stamina in exactly the same +5 ratios). Looks like devs didn't get a chance to finish that off. But everything else was really great. A few very minor bugs that resolved themselves very quickly (e.g. a floating car, map icons missing), but given the trainwreck of a launch - and for a game of this scope and ambition - it felt really quite polished. Voice acting and characterisation was superb. Keanu Reeves nailed the Silverhand role, and the way the game made me come round to care for this egotistical **** of a man was amazing. Game has now dumped me back to before I triggered the endgame so I'm going to try the DLC now. I started this and wasn't as taken with it so far hence my preference to finish the main campaign and go back. Idris Elba is great but he can't carry an American accent very convincingly.

          I platinumed Sifu last night.
Trickiest ones were to beat the game at under 25 and to spare all the bosses.

I found I was absolutely pummeling them by this late stage of the game, which is funny as I was proper nervous facing them the first time!
I was trying to spare the last boss but was doing really well, so just pushed on with beating him under 25 years old.

The last one was to score 20K in one level, but I saw there's a way to race through the club and you can whack the cheats on, making the enemies slow and weak, then give yourself infinite health and focus bar and give yourself an unbreakable weapon. You should have 20K+ before the last boss.

I've been playing F2P game, The First Descendant. Why I hear you ask? The gunplay, the gun sounds and feels. The loop is very Destiny and Warframe. Really enjoying the grind to be honest. The turnaround on quests is slick as well. Ideal for me.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger on Switch, which I blagged for £1.89 in a sale. It's not bad, corridor shooter, a bit dated gameplay-wise, but very stylish especially in the sound department. Also has a nice narrative twist that they pinched from Prince of Persia in which the tale is being narrated - often unreliably - as you go through it to a bunch of drinkers in a bar. Not a patch on my fave shooters on Switch (Dusk, Quake and Prodeus) but pretty alright.

Did you ever like Outriders ?, I have been playing The First Descendant and it is literally an amalgamation of Destiny Warframe and Outriders

Yeah it is like Outriders too. It never really grabbed me tbh. This has grabbed me (for now). Looking forward to trying out Freyna tonight after she has been crafted

Finished Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. S'alright. The narrative conceit started to grate when it was used for padding, making you do multiple versions of same sequence as different 'recollections'. "Tarnation, jes' hold on thar a darn minute, that ain't right! I'm sure we busted into that bank through the rear entrance, not the front!" /Rewind

Also finished Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty (DLC), which was really good. Not as great as the main campaign - I think the reviewers lost their minds a bit over this as it landed at same time as the big 2.0 systems/UI overhaul as well - but definitely a dense and rich experience with a more investigative vibe and some truly amazing sequences/scenes. The cast were less sympathetic, though, and I felt it was only a shame you couldn't betray/kill them all. Also, this DLC has probably the 2nd coolest 'handler' in the game,

Mr. Hands, after Padre of course.

The 'gigs' from him were superb, would pass for main quest-line stuff in other games.

Nearly 120 hours lost to this game, much of it in front of the mirror trying to make my V look pretty. Time for something else.

I tried to play Uncharted 2. but didn't get very far as it felt unintuitive as to where I was supposed to be going and looked really dark, so I was proper squinting at times.

Keep going back to Sifu. I watched "Kill" at the cinema last night and rather than going to bed, I did a level of Sifu.
It's weird, I'm such a badass now, I'm just strolling through most levels!

Hang on, so you 1CC'd Sifu but you found the opening level of Uncharted 2 too hard?!

He is a well-oiled (monkey) machine, sparing his enormous energies for the big fights. He is the champion of champions. There is no contradiction here.

Ha ha ha, I did find Sifu crazy hard at the start, but I'd replay the opening level over and over until I clicked with the mechanics and unlocked extra moves.
I can now prioritise who is attacking, split the crowd, stall one character and take out their mates.
It's pretty easy now and I never thought I'd be at this point!

Uncharted was "hard" because the platforming wasn't clear at points, like "surely you want me to go here? Oh I've died? Oh you want me to go there, but in this very specific way." Plus I was playing on the projector in the day and even with the blinds closed the dark sewers were hard to see. I think I just got bored of wondering where I was supposed to go. 1st World Problems.

I'll go back to it eventually, but I just needed to (virtually) kick some ass after watching Kill and it was Sifu or Streets of Rage 4.

I've streamed a bit on Twitch, but I'll record a run-through to gaze upon my martial arts majesty.
