I wouldn't risk betting any money on it
Has a good chance of being the lowest selling one though, unless it turns out to have more appeal than Series X...
The problem for me with this machine is that for your average gamer, what more are they going to get out of this on Day 1 than their existing PS4 or Bone? Faster loading times, a slightly higher resolution. That seems to be about it. The advantages to upgrading don't seem huge right now to be honest. I think that could hurt it at launch.
Imagine you have a brand new bottom spec Ford Focus. At some point you'll be at some traffic lights and next to you will be the top spec model and you'll think, yeah should have bought that one.
Even with Microsoft's buying power, getting a £249 price point and having a reliable 1TB or 2TB PCIE3 Gen 4 NVME drive would be a stretch - it's not unsurprising, but it should be fine for the casual market whose attach rate isn't high.
I have lost all sense of what XBox are doing. I don't understand what models they have out, what models they have coming out soon, what the differences are, what they do. Is that old age? Am I old?
Just to hit a slight tangent, Samsung are now on the Samsung Galaxy S20 they basically skipped 11-19. In a way naming doesn’t really mean **** once the marketing machine starts up and you see what they want you to buy.
Think of it this way, you’ve only got £249 in your bank and want a new games console, you now need to find yourself another £200+ to buy a PS5 and a game.

Or a seriesX and a game...
It might hit PS5 on price, but it also undermines their own console.
Am I right in thinking you're comparing Game Pass with Playstation Now, rather than Games With Gold and PS+?
I know it's subjective, but I think the 2020 PS+ games have trounce the GWG list in both quality and quantity, IMHO.

The PS list there is way better. But GwG is a bit of a strange red headed stepchild of an offering nowadays, with all the focus on Game Pass. A better comparison might be PS Now vs GP.
