It's a good question. The 3 SSDs are mounted to the MB no more than a centimetre away from the custom SSD controller. The proximity alone will increase speed. The expansion SSD has to send the data across the MB to the Controller, which might add a couple of nanoseconds. Unless they come with the a custom controller also on the SSD, but then you can't sell them to pc owners without some mods.

They said that the built in motherboard Storage controller can also be used with expanded storage, if it can then their should be no difference between the soldiered in or m2 storage, if expanded storage is slower even slightly it goes against what they have said in their tech reveal.

Probably imperceptible in speed difference. Technically it'll be there because the electrons have further to travel.

I know it's purely optional, but I hate 'giveaways' in games, especially ones like this. It's basically like showing you the solution to a puzzle. 90% of the fun for me is working out the weak points and windows for myself.

Makes me wonder actually if they changed the stat icons to be something understandable. When you think Vitality you expect to see a Heart or maybe a Body icon, not this.

Impressive stuff... I really hope this integrated help gets used properly by 3rd parties because throwing 180 into this feature sounds like a lot of effort.

I can't help but feel some are going to slack off on this but fingers crossed they don't.
