The tracks are superb though, especially the offroad designs. I did the seasonal one in trucks the other day. That was so much fun.

I bought the final property in Horizon 4 - Edinburgh Castle - a few nights ago. I guess that can count as some form of "completion". I really doubt it is possible to collect every car.

Yeah these games are so bloody big now it's not really feasible for most to complete them.

I really got into FH3 and caned it. With FH4 I have dipped in and out of it over time but still probably played it more overall. I tend to jump in and do specific events and then leave it a month. Keep going back and it always feels fresh then.

I can see me absolutely loving this one though. It just looks like its a couple of notches higher in terms of graphics and audio but really it's the new mode editor I want to hear more about. They added this sort of stuff into FH4 really late but this one is like a full on forge type editor the in-house team has been using. The possibilities of cool user created content are there.

They seem to have tried to introduce a greater sense of visual variety which is good. FH3's setting was too similar to FH2's which lessened its impact even though it was a better game. FH4... they aimed for something different but its unrealistic UK setting fell flat for me, weakest choice of the four games. The DLC in the games really shows how they can open it up more, leaning into its arcade sensibilities, so I'm hoping some of that is baked into the core game this time.

I'm certain it is my most played game of all time at this point, and it is nowhere near "complete". I'm sure it's impossible as new speed zones etc are constantly added and to 3 star them all is a game in itself! Not to mention the drift zones, which I STILL can't do consistently!!

Think you can set your console to New Zealand and play it even earlier (Forza horizon 5) Thursday hopefully
seems to be conflicting views wether it works. Microsoft even joked that they didn’t realise that so many had moved to New Zealand when cod wasn’t released to play it early

shall be trying it either way as bought the upgrade from Iceland as well. One thing it remembers your details so didn’t have to input anything as I had bought zombies ate your neighbours the week earlier

Yeah I'd def be downloading that. The only one I've played is 4, but it was a blast to explore the environment in the different cars. That was on a bloody One S so at about 480p! I can only imagine how awesome the new one will look on a Series X.

I played Horizon 4 for less time than it took to download, before deleting it. I'd never played one before. That obnoxious Radio 1 style presentation made me cringe harder than the time Liverpool Airport baggage staff spread out all my porn out across the conveyor belt for everyone to see after my first trip to Amsterdam.

It was 2004. But I do still prefer physical. Actually, I've just discovered that a lot of the best doujinshi and manga has been westernised (uncensored and fully/properly translated) so I'm picking up some naughty books occasionally.

I think I tried one before, but it took forever to get through the menus tutorial (lol) which had cringe 'top-bants' British voice-over for no good reason at all. So, I lost all patience.

I'll just stick to Project Cars / GT.
