Who knows, it could lead to something decent. Trying a Silent Hill and failing is better than no Silent Hill at all because it opens up the possibility that maybe, just maybe it could be good.

bloober team have been making horror games for a bit now, They made The Medium and the Blair witch project. The Medium got decent ish reviews and used Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka so it would seem their fans of the series have history in this genre too. They have been developing horror games with varying success since 2016 so seem a good fit for Silent Hill.

Yeah they made Observer, too, and that wasn't bad.

It feels a bit like being short changed after a Kojima-helmed game was dangled, but to be honest the SH series is pretty patchy as it is anyway - new ones at least opens the possibility that they could be good, as Dogg says.

Agreed. Medium was the dullest game I've played in years. Silent Hill has magic ingredients that sets it apart from the imitators. I hope the makers are either massive fans or have someone from the original team onboard.

Still don’t see how the franchise has enough widespread appeal to do well enough sales wise for this to work. Oh well we’ll see.

Leaker was hit with DMCA Takedowns... So it seems to indicate the images are real.
