Nice! I just packed my LCD model off yesterday and I'm already missing it. Really can't wait for mine to arrive.

If anyone is new to the Deck make sure you track down the following add-ons:

Decky Loader - Install 3rd party addons into the side bar.

Cryotools - Performance tweaks

Greenlight - Xbox cloud / remote play app

Chiaki - Playstation Remote Play

Thanks for the tips! I’m planning on playing mainly on Steam but will also install EmuDeck for emulation.

How’s the Chiaki Remote Play? I have a PS5 but never deliver into Remote Play.

It's very good and I would say its on a par with the PS Portal (minus the haptics, but with the OLED screen it should be amazing).

Just adding a bit more... Decky Loader is a must have as you can add loads of extra stuff to the deck direct through the UI. My favourites are adding in HLTB (how long to beat), SteamGridDB (custom artwork) and ProtonDB (compatibility) overlays to the main SteamOS UI.

You can also completely change the UI with it though, or add new boot loading videos. Quite a few of the add-ins you can install through it have been replaced with native options in Steam OS3.5 though.

Received my 512GB OLED Steam Deck yesterday and been really enjoying it.

Loved the packaging it came in (Wish this Forum had an easy image upload function!) and for a niche bit of PC hardware, the installation process a d then being ready to go was an impressive moment. Controls feel brilliant, although the default analogue sensitivity with Steam Deck approved games could use some tweaking. While playing a bit of Half Life 2, I genuinely thought I had gyroscopic aiming on, till I worked out it was just hyper sensitive analogue movement.

The screen is a real ****ing standout though. Getting a new TV last year, using Apple devices and being reminded of how epic CRT’s are with a visit to an Arcade last month, I thought I knew about screen resolution and brightness. But this OLED panel is a sight to behold, from playing HDR enabled games to playing Saturn Sega Rally, it’s a joy to play old games and just wonder about in games that make it sing. That Lancia Delta in Sega Rally though.

Also, I installed EmuDeck on it and although I’ve still got a bit of tweaking to do (Need to wrap my ROM’s up better and haven’t worked out the app wide controls yet) the installation was the easiest I’ve ever done and how well it all works on Steam Deck is just. Chefs Kiss.

It’s a bloody nice device and first impressions are astounding. Cant wait to refine the emulation experience and get more stuck in. If anyone’s on the fence, it’s a 10 / 10 (Edge Score) from me!

Glad you're enjoying it so much. I've absolutely loved the LCD version so the upgrade was a no brainer for me but I cannot wait to see that screen for real.

I've got an OLED switch so know what to expect but having HDR support and it being a fraction bigger has me super excited as I use the deck a lot more than the switch.

Most of my game time has been on AK-Xolotl and Brotato so far tho.
Next on my list is Dave the Diver.

I picked up the crazy WB humble bundle last week which had all the Batman games, Gotham Knights, Mad Max, Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat for £12 or something insane like that.

Also grabbed Bastion for 49p off cdkeys and Sunset Overdrive for £3.49.
