That Halo Infinite custom browser is great. It was a bit bugged for me last night but I've just got off a lunch time session where I played several (old) classic maps in big team battle and it was excellent.
Still work to do but really 343 should get some praise for getting this in the hands of the community before the holidays.
It really is a game changer.

MS also created a 10 year commitment to bring Call of Duty to Steam but Valve declined it saying that MS's trust is enough
01 - Clearly a savvy move to corner Sony by MS now
02 - Probably time to let Half Life Alyx on PSVR2 go

'We will fix this in an up coming patch' means it'll never be fixed.
'We will not update something without letting people know first' means they'll just push out updates that break ****.
'We will bring COD to steam' means no we won't.

According to Xbox fan boys it's all Sonys fault. The FTC are in Sonys pocket. The FTC looked the other way when Sony made exclusive games (?). And when this is over MS should go scorched earth and lock Sony out from every game ever.
Completely overlooking the fact that the FTC has had many tussles with MS in the past. And that MS has a long history of buying up companies to lock out competition.

In fairness the most vocal opposition to the deal is Sony and their arguments so far are laughably hypocritical to say the least.
I know we've seen MS under scrutiny before such as the internet explorer monopoly ruling etc... but in this market they are clearly 3rd right now and Sony painting a picture where MS has the potential to hold back titles exclusively is a cruel joke given their current business practices.
Looking at the wording of the FTC that's precisely what they're looking at here. I'd say MS has a fair argument and will fight it all the way.
One thing that is uncertain is whether this means it'll run on past the initial June forecast for settling the deal.

Safe to say Xbox sat this one out, which isn't surprising given the current news.
Glad to see Replaced is finally getting a release date. Game Pass looks chock full next year already...
I note the Hideo Kojima mentioned "working on another project" when discussing DS2 but nothing to show just yet...

Im glad they are spending $79b on the acquisition of a game developer, instead of spending $79b on the 23 game studios they currently own.
Fallout, Doom, The Elder Scrolls, Quake, Minecraft, Wolfenstein to name a few. if the Activision deal goes through they get Diablo, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Starcraft, and World of Warcraft to add to that list.
Thats a lot of eggs in one Basket and they don't have a good reputation with nurturing and bringing out the best in their studios either. With the exception of Playground Games its been a pretty mediocre output all around for quite some time now. Theirs a bit on the horizon but the loss of Atomic Heart and Stalker from this years schedule has pretty much robbed game-pass of any thing even approaching a big budget blockbuster this year.Last edited by Lebowski; 09-12-2022, 14:47.
