I am intrigued but sceptical as all hell regarding this thing. I appreciate this is a very square question, but are they actually working with Namco on this or have they just plastered it in Time Crisis artwork / branding in the hope that people will turn the same blind eye that they do to other products like the Pandora's Box and so on?

And yes, "AI powered" is the reddest of red flags for me.

Yeah I agree. I want to believe it's legit and will be good lol. But it looks pretty janky and the "AI" branding is just...what?

As cool as it is for only a single game it’s really poor value. Time crisis is hardly some sprawling epic once you have had a dozen goes the novelty would wear off damn fast. Unless it’s hackable and you can add more lightgun stuff. Done right it could be amazing as lightgun games are sadly a genre that are trapped on old tech. Switch can handle lightgun games fine using ir/gyro on joycon but it’s not the same there is a gap in the market for something like this.

That's the thing with all these retro things, if feels they always try and sell the minimal viable product, which is even tougher when going the naughty route means you have all the games at your fingertips. Systems like The Retro Shooter and Sinden Lightguns just seem better value for money.
I want to do the right thing, but rather than doing a Namco megabundle with the TC series, Point Blank and maybe a virtual Quick 'n' Crash, but it's just the one game.

That AI tag is a massive turn off for me, though.

That looks velvety. I will touch it.

Looks more like a cheap Mega Drive knock off from the 90s to me.
Why didn't they go with the prototype Saturn look with silver paint job? That looks smart.

Yep, they steered it way too hard to nodding to the wrong system

Didn't even know that was a thing tbh. Never seen it on sale anywhere.

Wow, there are a bunch of magazines stopping publication including Total Film and Home Cinema Choice.
Tough times out on the newsagent's shelves.

They are lovely and a reminder of just how peerlessly good the DC's design remains.
