I'd take a new version of 1943 as well but with BF EA always seem to let it get pulled in different directions based on other trends rather than let it be its own thing. It's been so many years since a BF entry I cared strongly about it's hard to hold the faith

No idea if reality, but the video was nice, in that it showcased the teams creating it and seemed to be suggesting they were given a bit more freedom and there's a huge focus on testing (lack of which is what ruined BF4 at launch).

All i want is 4 classes no character crap, vehicles on the map at the capture points, no kill streak rubbish, a LMG with a 200 mag filled with FMJ bullets with thermal vision scope lying in long grass, to be able steal the enemies only AA vehicle and sit in the spawn point shooting at 'ACE pilots' crying that their 34-0 streak just got ruined and that i can still plant C4 packages on a jeep and drive at a tank.

I want to be able to camp out at the enemy base and load up their helis with C4, then hide chortling to myself as they pile in and set off. Also, to seed landmines across their camp entrance for when they hurtle out in their jeeps and tanks. Truly shameful plays like that. In other words, I want BFBC2 incl. the Vietnam pack. Proper sized maps, as well. Not the overlarge empty spaces of recent entries.

I miss those days! We had some fun.

I have no faith that a new BF will be any good after getting burned on 2042.

...I might buy on Switch 2 though 🤔

Nice stuff thanks, not a lot to go on i know but getting good vibes from that gameplay, always liked that French metro stage in BF3 mixed with a dash of Karkland. Fingers crossed

This is looking really really promising. But you know what they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

I want to see:

server selection
server rental (24/7 metro hard core max tickets FTW) JK!
vehicle spawn more like bf4
scoreboard
pray for commander mode - perfect for the ps portal
probably heaps of other features I've forgotten since I got so used to everything missing in 2042

Hope there's an open beta prior to launch but I may just sign up for the labs on my PS5 in the meantime.
