But seriously, that guy is bizarre. Besides buying every DC going, he also bought 4 identical carry cases, and all sorts of lotions and potions. He also bought a pirated album for about ?20 or so.. insane.

Nope comes in a standard white and blue dreamcast box, it even only comes with an RF lead (well if he says anything apart from that then you know he is lying.......)

As MD says, it does indeed come in standard packaging. The guy selling it seems nice enough. He supplied me with a picture of the entire package.

It's a bit disappointing to see it comes with bog standard packaging, nearly all the other limited dc's where in decent non standard packaging.

Does nobody else thinks this looks like a home paint job? It looks like somone has seen a picture of this Sonic DC and decided to whip out the old acrylic paints and do a makeover ala House Invaders! A few stickers and a stencil to add to the cheapness. Then a forged signature and your all set.

Ok, the guy who is selling this has just emailed me to say he has had an offer of ?2500 for the machine, he is going to be pulling the auction very shortly.

Amazing. I would never have thought it was valued at that sort of dollar.

It is a *real* item, I've seen a signed one at Sega Europe. They were made especially to celebrate the 10th Aniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog and to be sold as a limitied edition console with Sonic Adventure 2. However for some reason Sega decided not to release the console correctly. They didn't release a Limited Edition version of SA2 (Like the Jap one) as SOJ vetoed it. So no fancy packaging as the machine was sold off via a few special channels rather then a proper release in shops, which is why they rarely come onto the market. 5 were signed and were given as competition prizes around a few key PAL market places (hence the one on Ebay).

I guarantee you its been sold after hes received an offer privately - he emailed me after I had bid and told me he had received an offer that he wanted to take and asked if I intended to bid any higher - someones obviously mad an offer he couldn't refuse - nearly 3500 page views though - yikes!
