I'll sit the length of the controller lead away or more downstairs due to the bloody huge tele (47") I've got (footie is fantastic on it) whilst upstairs I'll just prop myself up against the wall on my bed a few feet away.

Probably about 3m on the 32" in my bedroom. Sometimes about a meter and a half when im laying on the floor against my bean bag.

I can only play games when I sit right inline with the tv, the distance doesn't matter that much but the angle does, for some reason I'm plain crap when I'm playing positioned anything other then straight on to the tv, its strange and I don't really understand it. I also have to be sitting on a chair/sofa with a straight back as well, I just can't play games when I'm in a slouched position.

I tend to sit on the floor, or move my settee forward about 3-5 feet from my large TV, it's a big 4:3 TV, probably about 35" (although I'm not sure). I have to sit on the floor (or right ont eh edge of the seat) if I'm playing something intense like F-Zero GX which reqires a lot of precision moves, or I just lay back in the chair or maybe even sit a good three-four meters away if I'm playing an RPG like Skis of Arcadia.
It totally depends on the game, but it's usually either really close or pretty far away!

So did everyone get that?
In my bedroom, pretty close to the DC and Cube (portable telly!), but in the den, about 4/5ft away, cos thats about 21inch.
